At 16:35 vibing leaf added a story to tell what happened. but it actually holds a more depressive story. According to some extra lore, Donald and goofy both had died in a car crash and Pluto the dog died of old age. so Mickey was already depressed when Minnie mouse cheated. so all of those things that happened made Mickey go crazy. (by the way I’m not sure if the extra lore is true or not, I just heard it somewhere.)

As a wandering film fan, color has actually been around for a good time. Most films didn't get it because unless it was spectacle, it wasn't necessary and it was expensive to dye the frames by hand. Most times they put a filter over it of a single color and called it a day if they did it at all. And they stopped doing the filter after technicolor became a thing because it couldn't compete. Most popular versions of silent films have some color tint on the frames. Non filter color can be observed in films as early as the 20's, well before Mickey Mouse was popular. But most times, it was only two colors: red and green, and occasionally blue. My favorite examples of this early color process is the Masquerade scene in The Phantom of the Opera or the last bit of Apollo's Lyre. Makes Red Death pop out so well. But you can see what limited color pallet they had for those scenes. Here's a link to one video with decent audio illustrating my point. Now seeing something like true purple and orange at the same time, or a rainbow psychedelic mixture? That would be impossible. Turns out the surreal remake was actually 9:04 originally, the re-upload shown cut the video length down. The person who made it, the original video is back, so that is pretty much the perfect remake in terms of following the story.

"Mouse" is so spot-on, everything happens pretty much exactly like the creepypasta except the sound in the background doesn't sound much like a murmur or scream and his head doesn't sway side to side which only Xandrecos got right, aside from that everything's perfect, there's exactly 6 buildings in the background loop, he walks like you or I would walk, his expression changes slowly, his eyes fall to his chin like marbles in a fishbowl, the buildings turn to floating rubble, and the physics and color go all crazy, all as described in the story. The Jums Nelson version is slightly less accurate but it's really convincing, if you told me the creator(s) actually cell animated it by hand and recorded it on film and everything I'd believe you, it's super convincing, the old film effect either has a long loop or doesn't loop at all and you can tell the head and body are different cells or meant to look like it because the body does the exact same loop throughout even when the head changes.

The third remake or “original” is in my opinion the best video for this creepypasta. The reason I think this is because of how authentic it feels. It doesn’t try too hard to be creepy and yet it still works due to the visuals. In the other remakes the quality is really good which takes away the immersion of the creepypasta, cause you know it was made by a fan. However the third video looks like it could’ve actually been made by Walt Disney if he rushed it. While I wish it used the end credits, the mickey with no face works imo cause it’s so uncanny and weird that it ends up creeping me out. Something that bothers me about these videos are that they never get the smile completely right. The creepypasta says, and I quote: "... the dismal face of the mouse was slowly curling into a smirk." Key word there: _SLOWLY_. Every time Mickey does his creepy smile in any of these videos, it happens too fast! The process of him smiling happens in like 1 or 2 seconds and then it remains there. It might change to get creepier later on, but even that transition takes all of a couple seconds. The way I see it, it should be a more lengthy progression of him smiling - the corner of his mouth slowly and gradually lifting, subtle enough that you wouldn't notice it when it starts to happen, but becoming more obvious as it grows on his face. The creepypasta also says that his smile eventually "[pointed] upward on the left side of his face", so the smile that's ever-so-slightly getting bigger and bigger would eventually need to go that high as well. Sure, doing it this way would take a lot more time and effort to do, but if you're willing to go that extra mile for accuracy's sake, then good on you. Honestly, I'm kinda wanting to make my own interpretation of this creepypasta video, and make it be as accurate as it possibly can be to the way its events are described in the creepypasta, no matter how long it takes me. The smile growing slowly, the buildings turning into rubble, the impossible colors, the sidewalk shifting in different directions, Mickey walking backwards for a bit, Mickey increasing his walking speed... even the way the story says "his eyes rolled on the bottom of his chin like two marbles in a fishbowl", rather than just having his eyes fall off his face. I'd study the creepypasta at great lengths, and I wouldn't leave any of these details out. I'm genuinely fine with putting in that amount of effort to get a video like that done, because this is one of my most favorite creepypastas, and one that I'm incredibly passionate about. If somebody else ends up making an interpretation that includes all of these details to make it be as accurate as possible to the creepypasta, then so much the better. I just want an interpretation like this to exist out there. People changing it up is totally fine if that's what they wanna do, and I applaud creativity. But I'd like to see at least just _one_ video that doesn't miss any of the happenings that happen in the creepypasta, judging by how it's described, and doesn't include anything that isn't mentioned in the creepypasta. And I'm willing to put in the time and effort to do it myself if I have to.

This video is good, it has good editing, but there's some issues. 1) It feels like you're scared to actually judge things, so you just put them all next to each other at the top 2) your judgement is really odd, it seemed to me that the ones with the most effort and accuracy fell behind to other ones with the same flaws, as an example the hand drawn one ended up next to the bottom of the barrel. 3) In the vibingleaf remake there were a lot of flaws, but it all got condensed down into "a bit rushed" which made it look like it had way less than it really did.

Well, it took me 11 days to finally get my account/channel back. Indeed, I was the original uploader of the Surreal Remake. 2 days after my computer died due to sudden component damages, I was unsuspectingly hacked and was unable to fix the situation. Luckily, my sister and Google tried to hard to recover my account and even my KZbin channel. I even set some of my videos back to public because they were all set to private by the hacker. Thanks for watching somebody's re-upload on my remake before I revive my channel and set my video back to public.

I agree with everything except for the James Nelson version and the Surreal version, I would trade places since James's version is perfectly represented to the original Creepypasta, and with the Surreal i feel like it didn't have much effort compared to other versions, even the screams are the screams used by most ugly horror stupid games XD

The Surreal version deserves to be the Best. It has most things correct and accurate to the source material and is extremely unsettling with its piano music and screams. What I would rate these videos: Jums Nelson: For this one, it got a lot right but the piano is kinda annoying and he doesn’t really walk backwards so I would put it in amazing. GorixGorix: This was one of the first ones I knew about, it doesn’t get a lot of the original pasta stuff right, but it’s animated kinda well. And the speeding up thing is a nice lil’ detail, I would rate it good. The “original”: despite it being probably the first remake the visuals are horrible. And that face at the end makes it worse, so I would rate it the worst… Randy hilson: I like this one a lot, and the fact it looks handdrawn makes it better. But the piano is also annoying so amazing. Finder lurker: there is a lot to say, it is kinda good but there are a bunch of annoying sounds like the piano, footsteps, e.t.c. But it is a good remake so ok for me. Surreal remake: I really like this one, it has a lot right except the video time. Amazing. Vibingleaf: …………….The best. Xandrecos: it’s not that bad but the animation with the eyes rolling off and the distortion after really is amazing. This deserves a good rating! Stranger1945: It has some good quality especially since it was made 12 years age, but the one expression change is a flaw for me so I’ll just put it in decent. DiamondMinerStudios: it is pretty eerie but it does have some flaws, decent. Irmel: I watched this one recently and honestly got so much right and the sounds are actually scary, the end was scary too. Definitely deserves to be in the best rank for sure! So that was my rating! If this ranking video gets a remade version I will post my reviews on the new ones as well

Something interesting is that Mouse.avi actually HAS a backstory. So basically Minnie broke up with mickey by cheating on him. Which obviously makes him sad and heart broken and to make matters worse minnie decided to cheat on him with Pete. Donald and Goofy get in a car accident and weren't able to survive their injuries. And if that wasn't bad enough, Mickey's dog Pluto dies of old age. Oswald, Mickey's Half Brother, even tries to help him get out of his slump but then get into a very bad argument and Oswald says some really harshful things and gives mickey a little "tough Love" and Oswald leaves and never comes back leaving mickey all alone with all of his friends either dead or they just abandoned him. This is why in the creepypasta he is sad and walking past buildings. It also explains why he went insane in the video because of all of this sad, depressed and terrible burtal things that happened to him...

The randy one also got his animation from plane crazy, He said in his behind the scenes. (He never included the creepy guy in the end in the HQ and the original 2009 mock. The Finder lurker one also remaked that, It's hard to see the guy but you can see his hand closing the door, There was an other one, but this time, it's someone setting up like a window, then he falls with an sound and it's mickey shaped. 6:59 the reason why is because this exact remake was made using a flipchart in school according to it's 'official' wikipage. Back in 2009 you didn't really have those HD resolutions until 2010, so technically you had to record in 480p or in this clip, 144p. And also the video in this timestamp isn't an actual remake but the OFFICIAL version of SuicideMouse.avi .

my opinions on every version Jums Nelson: if you only look individual frames, It actually looks pretty real, but when you see the animation... it looks stiff, and in the time where the short was made, ub iwerks was the animator of the shorts and ub had a very fluid, very bouncy style, so the animation itself don't make it, but the rest man it is great Gorix: the background looks like "house of mouse" rubber hose, like those shorts that tried to replicate the rubber hose in house of mouse, the animation looks like was made by Warner by the using of stiff parts and animating fluidly other parts. Jojacob: looks bad... but is some accurate? Randy hill: Man, looks like plane crazy's mickey in early Felix the cat style, the animation looks like something made by laugh-o-grams (the first studio of Walt Disney), looks like Walt himself made it (except for the background) (Walt style was more present in laugh-o-grams, because the Disney cartoons were made by ub iwerks in his own style) finder lurker: man, the boiling lines (how he moves wierdly in the face and in the lines) I love boiling lines in animation... but here... instead of looking hand drawn looks like if someone who don't know anything about animation just draw over and over again without thinking of keeping a similar shape, but is accurate (except for the mickey face at the end) tobical studios: looks made in flash, BUT MAN, IF THIS LOOKED LIKE JUMS NELSON, WE WOULD BE IN PRESENCE OF THE BEST VERSION Xandrecos: The animation looks bouncy but not like Disney character design, BUT WHEN HE FALLS OF, MAN IT LOOKS SO SMOOTH, MORE SMOOTH THAN IWERKS, AND WHEN THE EYES ARE FALLING, FOR A MOMENT IT LOOKS LIKE DISNEY, man THE ANIMATION IS GREAT stranger: the animation is ACTUALLY MADE BY UB IWERKS for the short "the mad doctor" so im not sure with the animation because it looks great, but is because is stolen from a real animator, the background more than Disney, it looks like something from the fleischer studios mouse: THE ANIMATION, I LOVE IT

If I made a mouse.avi, It would go like this: Mickey walks down the street, with an unhappy face, walking down the street with the original music as well. This all goes on until 3 minutes have passed. It goes all black until 6 minutes passed. This time there's no music, just Mickey walking. Then after 2 and a half minutes, Mickey goes to his 2nd phase and the buildings are slightly wrecked and abandoned and there's just that one man screaming. After approximately 1 and a half minutes, Mickey starts showing his teeth, smiling even more, buildings are wrecked and abandoned, even more screaming, then after a minute, it becomes different, Mickey's vital organs slowly flow out of his mouth and his eyes exploding as well as the buildings set on fire, even more abandoned and destroyed. After 20 seconds, Mickey moves backwards for a second, then continues walking as the background turns 3d showing Mickey suffering endlessly. Then 30 seconds after that event, Mickey sticks an insta-kill syringe and then dies, collapsing into the ground with his non existent eyes bleeding and his vital organs flowing out of his mouth. Then there's the Mickey smiling face until 9 minutes and 4 seconds. How would you rate my version of my Mouse.avi?

the one thing that really irks me about these is how…how anachronistic the film effects are. They didnt have vegas pro or Scanimate machines in the 30s yet people keep putting wave effects and shit. You know what the colors and distortion probably are? Film deterioration. I know it would be hard to get accurate effects, but still… I like to imagine making a really high quality and accurate film effect emulation plugin or program that can replicate imperfections and warps of film reels, video and audio, and it gets real technical. Also, the “cutting to static”? I imagine instead, it’s some kind of weird cutoff on the sound portion of the film or perhaps there are sprocket holes where the soundtrack should be, resulting in a 24hz pulse, instead of “white noise”…
