Piha Beach New Zealand Keyhole Paddle 2023

There are a few days a year when it is safe to paddle through the Keyhole Cave to get out to the surf. This is not a path that beginner or intermediate surfers should take to access the waves at Piha. Please be safe and know that Piha is very unpredictable with sudden waves rising up out of the turbulent Tasman Sea.
