I would've put money on the warrior right off rip, but after checking out both their streams for a minute, it is clear as DAY that Yamato has a way different mentality than Sardaco, and I think it might give him the win. He has been absolutely GRINDING in front of Org and trying really hard to lock in and learn. Sardaco seems deflated, hopeless, and resigned to defeat.

Back in vanilla when i played i only had bloodfang and didnt ever get naxx set but warriors are far and away the preferred class in a duel from what i remember. Basically if you beat 1 as a rogue it was a skill diff.

someone get this man a seeping willow for the duel as his 2h and shield spike for when he's 1h swapping. Naglering can be a fun item so you can still deal damage while you are stunned. weapon chains or death grips if u really value enchants and want to avoid disarms. IMO, and take this with a grain of salt because most of my classic pvp experience was gained from AV, special items and consumes are way more important than having "bis" dps gear. Armor stat and item procs are slept on with how much they can swing a duel. nature resist can come in clutch. I want to see him win hope your not sleeping on the tech

I think the main problem is one vs many duels. A rogue without CDs is just a worse warrior in this situation, warrior just doesn't rely on big CDs at all to win a face to face duel against a rogue. Tho the poison cleansing is insanely OP considering the main strategy of a rogue against a warrior is deadzoning with crippling. I think the chances of a good rogue winning in a makgora is good, but in a best of 9 the skill difference must be very big for the warrior to ever lose.

As someone who has not played either class, the thing you're forgetting is that nobody plays perfectly at every point of the duel, especially when their character is on the line. Panic and misplays are inevitable

The only thing that worries me about sardaco is his lack of faith in himself. Should honestly set up a few rogues to fight him and throw the fight to build his confidence, then after a few wins turn the heat up so he can smooth out his rotation. Warrior wins this fight any day. He just needs the confidence.

Rogues do not have an on demand disarm in classic. Rogue disarm is an RNG proc off a parry.

Rogues cam't disarm on command in classic. They have to spec into riposte in the combat tree which is not the meta pvp build and then riposte only becomes available after the rogue parries an attack.

Sardaco is garbage even at the things he claims to be good at. Even in PVE the man is sub par. He has gameknowledge but that's about it. Yamato is 10x the learner he is, he is soaking all of this up quick and has been playing videogames in a competitive sphere for years. Pika knows as well as anyone, when the nerves hit a lot of these people won't be able to preform and Sardaco will be no different, he'll crumble under the pressure yamato will thrive in it.

It's funny because a great Rogue dominates Warrior 1v1, but a terrible warrior can just win off some rng. Especially Orc. I went through this latest playthrough on Nightslayer realm tracking every attempted stun vs. an orc until bgs dropped. Final tally was 112 landed and 355 attempted. That's way beyond the 25% resist chance that it says, then factor in the 5% base resist chance and I'm still around 32% *landed*. That would have their stun resist at closer to 67%. Of course this is perhaps variance. Then throw in the 20 years I've played rogue vanilla, both classics, hardcore, pservers etc and that it always seemed disproportionately high. Everyone else always saying it feels way too common. I can only come to one logical conclusion. Orc stun resist is broken. The code doesnt work. Never has. Never will. Just like Vanish bugs of varying sorts were dismissed by Blizzard for years. Even 20 years later, knowing all the reasons Vanish can be bugged or done incorrectly, and I still have Vanish bugs I can find no logical reason for. Rogues must play it perfectly while a warrior just needs to have 1 imperfection to sieze on and thy can turn that into a win.

IMO sardaco is not giving himself enough credit who cares if Yamato is good at any other game classic wow is largely a game of preparation and information both of which he has a huge advantage over him on. Warrior stomps rogue in classic just think of high level tournaments that happened it was warlock v mage in the end and top 4 had a warrior and featured no rogue in 1v1 warrior has the advantage with all the little things classic gives you I have seen good warriors sapper their own blinds etc it’s also different with pressure people will be watching like just t1 winning that big duel that happened and I’d say he was way less favored then this case you can pick up the very basics of PvP quick on a rogue but the rogues that beat warriors generally have a large skill gap on them getting skull can be good too extra way to break blind you have lips and or faps resto pot there are so many little things plus I think warrior just scales better with world buffs then rogue and it’s not really close

@@MayBeHasu he gets no sap off the blind which means the DR on cheapshot doesn’t fall off. If he doesn’t open then the warrior eats or bandages to full. He HAS to reopen or sap off the blind - but he can’t sap off the blind because the warrior is in zerker stance meaning the rogue HAS to open immediately, which means his Cheapsnshot will only be 2 seconds. I’m 100% correct and I know rogue well. Even if I didn’t, two of the best rogues in the game are in this video telling you that you’re wrong lol
