Yes he was goat in black and white and he had almost 70 % win rate in that series . Also he is best legendary slayer in ashes team . I mean he slaming legendary and sudo legendary pokemons like they are free candy . His other badass feats like lighting armor , countershield or defeating rhydon with thunderbolt aiming to the horn was so cool . Pikachu is goat and his winrate was never lower than 55% but in some series he got more than 65% thats cool af . I like when power shifted to him bcs in first and second series the main focus was on other members of ashes team like charizard , bulbasaur , kingler, corfish, snorlax and other powerhouses . Pikachu started to be relevant after he learned iron tail.

I mean, I think everyone remembers when they gave a guy all the legendaries they could to justify Ash losing, and by making him defeat the strongest of every league they re-wrote their wrongdoings giving Ash an amazing end to his journey. It was the single best way to close his history, making so this victory trumped every single loss he ever had.

As much as Journeys was mid in the end, Pikachu vs. Leon's Charizard was one of the BEST moments in the anime! I ACTUALLY teared up when Pikachu saw all his old friends and Ash cheering him on! I got CHILLS when Pikachu gets back up, goes Super Saiyan, and the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" theme started playing! I cheered him on as he landed his Thunderbolt! The animation, the determination, all leading up to Pikachu's final blow to Charizard, leading him to FINALLY WIN! Pikachu, you beautiful rat son of Arceus, you ACTUALLY did it! I love you Pikachu! Give these animators the credit and paychecks that they deserve! I mean, yeah, I wish Ash rotated some of his old Pokémon and that everyone Ash and Pikachu know and met on their journey were in watching in person to see this! Other than that, this battle was GOATED!

If a hurt Mega Garchomp fought a relatively fresh Mega Lucario(because it would take out Togekiss pretty easy), it would probably be a struggle catching him while getting blasted by Aura Spheres.
