Funny story about Last Will. It was a key card for Exodia OTK in the OCG back during the early 2000s. This deck was historically the first Tier 0 format in Yugioh. And the reason why Sangan And Witch of the Black Forest were both errata'd before the game made it to the TCG.

Magical Hats has a lot of potential gimmicky play, if you are willing to give it a try. You can use it to bring out 2 other Trap cards whose effects will trigger after being destroyed at the end of the Combat Phase, like Dark Coffin or Statue of the Wicked. Also, its effect alone instantly fulfills the condition trigger for Needle Ceiling, provided your opponent controls at least one monster. It will clear their field while leaving yours intact.

Doriado isnt a card waifu for me, but I really liked using her in GX Duel Academy. Her effect immediately makes the card Fuh-Rin-Kah- Zan live which let you either Raigeki, Feather Duster, or Pot of Greed. Doriado could be quickly powered up with Ritual Weapon, Mage Power, and United We Stand. Iron Blacksmith Kotetsu could search the equips and Cat of Ill Omen could search Fuh Rin Ka Zan. It was fun clearing the opponents board then attackinh with a Doriado stronger than a Blue Eyes.

The funny thing about the elemental packs being made available on certain days is that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday's elements all correspond to the Kanji used in those respective days: Tuesday is 'Kayoubi', which uses the Kanji for fire, Wednesday is 'Suiyoubi', which uses water, and Saturday is 'Doyoubi', which uses the Kanji for 'earth' or 'soil'. I think it was probably done deliberately and the only reason the other days don't also line up is that the other Kanji ('Day'/'Sun', 'Moon'/'Month', 'Tree'/'Shrub', and 'Money' for Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday respectively) don't really have a corresponding Attribute in the game. Edit: Don't quote me on this. These are all things I've learned passively; although I've never observed any information conflicting with it, I've also never seen it explicitly confirmed by native or proficient speakers.

The way I understand missing the timing for effects like Mobius and Stumbling is that the card activates on Summon, at the beginning of a chain, and then all other effects that proc on summon occur as higher chain links, where I believe Missing the Timing occurs when you'd have to make the optional "When [...] you can [...]" decision while a chain is resolving (because you can't add to a chain while it's resolving; "If [...] you can [...]" effects start a new chain, so they don't have this issue), but you're not going to be tribute summoning while a chain is resolving, unless you're summoning through something like Ultimate Offering.

I wish master duel would implement alter format so strategies like yours (doriado + fuh) don't get blown out the water by whatever is infesting the meta (I hate floowandereze with a burning passion), even casual duel are a joke because it's either someone's first duel with the world legacy starter deck or people play-testing their meta deck so they don't lose rank points, which completely destroys the intended idea of "playing a casual duel"

Convulsion of nature does have some weird rullings with cards that shuffle themselves into the deck face up and do something when drawn. Since the deck was flipped over those cards are now face down so they don't do anything. There aren't many cards that actually do that mind, I can only think of Parasite Paracide and Pharoh's Treasure that do that, but it is hilarious.

There may be an issue here and there but they're fantastic and won't make you need eye drops after playing them. Imagine casually pulling and getting both unlimited Foolish Burial and Last Will in the same set of packs.

@@kinnikuboneman Its so good, so good that basically makes viable the icon view on the deck editor. Very crispy, it just looks amazing. Also you can disable most of the filters since they are high res. Also easy to enable/disable. It is unfortunate, that i have yet to find a pack for the characters portraits that just look silly without the filters.

The reason there's now deck size limits in tournament play is because a couple guys who saw how stupid stall tactics were ruining the fun designed a deck that was like a thousand cards or something stupid like that and all of it was just ways to stall while shuffling your own deck so often to time out the game to a draw.

If you want to build a fun Burn Deck, Tag force 2 (the next game) has the volcanics which whole gimmick is burning your opponent life points away. also If you pick Chazz have fun with his main cards being forced into his deck (some cards you can't take out no matter what).

An example of a card that does not target would be something like Fissure. Fissure won't allow targeting due to Fissure destroying the weakest monster on the field. Since I can't pick the monster like at all unless its like a tie for example Armored Lizard (ATK 1500) and Alligator Sword (ATK 1500) or even Armored Zombie (ATK 1500) then I could pick which monster can get destroyed by Fissure but Fissure would only allow me to destroy the weakest monster in terms of attack points. A Magic/ Spell card that can target a monster would be like Offerings To The Doomed or even Tribute To The Doomed since the owner can pick the monster of their choice to be destroyed. Cards like Raigeki/ Lightning Vortex won't target the monster(s) since I am not given an option in this case.

It's not a super powerful combo, but I would say that trying to pull level limit area a, gravity bind, a legendary ocean, mermaid knight, and amphibious bugroth is effective at limiting Zane from attacking with any monsters until he's dealt with your back row so he'd have to waste his raigeki breaks just to free himself

Cost Down is pretty good in a deck that has monsters that you want in the graveyard.

The issue with Last Will is that it's a floating effect with a special summon from the deck and no logical spell speed. Like special summons can be literally any spell speed so it's hard to say when it can be used. You could (debatably hence the issue) just hold the special summon and throw it randomly into a chain and make something miss timing. All it really needed to make sense is to say you can special summon a monster from the deck during X phases or outside of a chain or just any justification. There's also some negation related issues with floating effects that can feel kinda stupid so it doesn't help that this effect just... Persists. And even without the ruling issue it's incredibly powerful and probably worthy of a limit/ban in current days thanks to links just making it an Omni search/summon with a stupid floating effect and just raw advantage

So while doriado is probably someone’s waifu, the reason for it in this deck, is because the charmers spell/traps all require certain elements, and thus, is basically a free charmer. Pretty sure the charmers are the person’s waifu tho Also if you want a cool deck to look up, look up empty jar.

on the topic of the monsters having similar designs I dont think it was a game dev request - pretty sure nothing in Yugioh was designed initially at least, with card games in mind I mean its more likely they were inspired by just Fantasy stuff in general. Other games often did that trick though like Final Fantasy games you COULD make a bunch of unique designs OR You could recolor your wolves to make Wolf, Forest wolf, Mountain Wolf, Direwolf That 1 asset just got new colors and became 4 different monsters. LIke it still taks up space for each asset sure... but its a time saving thing. Like I don't think it saved space all that much but it certainly saved on time and work if you could repurpose as much as possible. Of course maybe it did save space i know nothing about how games fetch their assets and such. But yeah, at the very least it saves time. And hell many a fantasy game does the - X is just a shiny Y type set up for monsters. So with yugioh having a bunch of obviously fantasy creatures and such why not do something similar. Swamp Battle Guard- ok its some monster that lives in the swamp (or more likely forest) Lava Battle Guard- its the same general monster type... but lives in the volcanic mountains instead hence its a different color. And IF a game were to be made of course that saves on work. it certainly saves work for the sake of the anime if nothing else because you can just draw the same thing twice but use a different color instead of drawing 2 clearly different animals.
