Haven't played it in about 6 months or so, but for both accounts I completed the campaigns and did online with, there was an option where you hold an input for a couple seconds to channel a "FINAL TURN!" call / emote / taunt. You can do it once per duel. It might also have an impact on your rewards, but I just read that particular detail in another comment someone posted after mine. Alls I know for sure is that it was in Zero for at least a year and probably still is in it (because why would they take it out 2 years into the game's lifespan randomly lol).

Interestingly, when he mentioned Croatian at the beginning it reminded me of the Croatian dub of Yu-Gi-Oh that I used to watch as a kid. It was what you expect, quite strange, but it did have its moments and they did a decent job overall. One thing that stuck on me is how they translated the Blue-eyes White Dragon as the "Plavooki modri zmaj". Pretty rad.

Yeah its crazy how much more content is in world championship 2008-2011 and most tagforce games. They actually put in a ton of effort into making the world dense with content and the story is not slimmed down to cover a season of an anime in 6 duels like Legacy of the Duelist. There hasn't been much improvement in modern ygo games at all, its mostly a regression. Even the technical side has pretty much not changed since all of the games are painfully slow and you can tell nobody cared.

I really liked Spirit Caller and World Championship 2007. I think the DS/PSP era was pretty much the peak for Yu-Gi-Oh games. I might just for the hell of it buy physical copies of Spirit Caller and the World Championship series since i have been recently gone back to buying DS games.

I like to think of Yu-Gi-Oh! video games as following 3 or 4 different periods based on interest and/or budget for game consoles, and they clearly show. Forgiveness for the wall of text that will assault everyone. *1998-2004: The Weird Experiment Phase* When the series began and achieved popularity in Japan and then became popular in the West, Konami just couldn't help themselves and made anything and everything based off of the series. We had games based off of ideas from the original manga, pre-Duelist Kingdom, games using ideas before the first Master Rule, spinoff titles, and yearly GBA releases of the card game. There are a few I believe are looked back fondly or helped establish the series for video game platforms, but the rest are curiosities. *2005-2012: The Sweet Spot* I think this was where they had successfully ironed out the games. Unfortunately for some, Yu-Gi-Oh! was resigned mostly to portables most of this time (the PSP and the DS) with the exception of a few oddities, like 5Ds Wheelie Riders, but that actually worked to its advantage, as the smaller scope allowed the crew to be more flexible with ideas. Tag Force allowed more focus on the anime and explored the cast while the World Championship series eventually added story modes. Were they good? Nah, but at least they increased the value of each game. *2013-Present: Yu-Gi-Oh! as a Budget Franchise Sold at Near AAA Prices* With Konami all but downsizing game development entirely and the inevitable demise of the portable console market, Konami moved over to mobile gaming where budgets are miniscule, and profits are based on microtransactions. That didn't mean they stopped selling games on home consoles, but the games themselves would have you instead fight a computer that had the face of a character (sure "The Dawn of Destiny" and other games like Tag Force were like that, but they would animate the character or have them talk) with the most generic music you could come up with. At least it's not all grim news; Duel Links provides anime and manga fanservice, while Master Duel provides a chance to utilize meta decks.

There was a Cardfight Vanguard video game recently called Vanguard EX and Final Turn was a mechanic in that game and if you said final turn at the start of your turn you got extra CP for crafting and buying packs but if you failed you get negate points when you get rewarded at the end of the duel Also the CPU could do it against you idk if you could have done it with online play against someone else but it also changes the music based on what deck you are playing as like this epic song for your victory

So Civilisation 6 has an Advisor mechanic that helps you play through your first couple of games. In the settings though, you can choose one of three settings. -Turn Off: Guess what this does. -New To Civ: Teaches you everything throughout the game. -New To Civ 6: Only teaches you new/changed mechanics from Civ 5. This game could honestly use a system like that tbh.
