Now then buddy. Cracking video and loving the boat !!! Looks spot-on and something I’ve never ever done. Probably something I will never own as well … some cracking little spots I spotted as you were travelling up and down the river. Do you have a couple of comments which I tried to translate so I can read them ( As ya do ) and I couldn’t make any sense of them at all !!!! Maybe it was just my iPhone 😳😳🤣🤣…. Hi Paul, great Vid, the bit you said about the fishing clubs owning stretches of the river? according to the Environment agency, the clubs only own the stretch of bank that gives access to the water, the fact that you buy an EA license for the boat to be on the river means you can fish the river and because you are not actually using the bankside, the fishing clubs have no charging jurisdiction, if you moor the boat on their bank then they can charge you.

How you getting on with that LMAB LA Moustique setup? Just waiting for mine to arrive together with some new kit for perch. I remember watching some of your videos a while back regarding endless blanking and catching the _"fish of a thousand casts...."_ and from that time, that saying has become a bit of a motto for me 😄 After watching that video of yours and listening to your _'words of wisdom'_ it made me that bit less frustrated and annoyed about the whole situation in general. Sadly - Ive still had no luck with the pike at the local canal/river. I think they've all been taken for the pot by the foreigners so ive given up with that - didnt bother renewing the club membership and i probably wont renew the waterway wanderers permit though I think i'll wait and see what happens with the perch setup first. Meanwhile, I was guesting at a local club water and had sod all luck with pike there too despite a few members there reporting catches. I decided to have a mess about with flicking a 10g mouse lure around for fun and was surprised to see the amount of perch that followed it to the bank and one even came out of nowhere and T-boned it! really aggressive hit! unfortunately it wasnt a good hookset and the fish came off. (its 10cm but the body of it is quite wide) wasnt my intention to catch one but its the best result ive had since taking up spinning last year. Trying to flick a 10g lure with a very stiff baitcaster setup was a bit of a pain but the end result that day was worth it even if i didnt catch anything. Just made me think. I could be having so much more fun targeting perch with maybe a random pike along the way rather than just sessions upon sessions of blanking. Enjoying catching up with your videos!

It’s s lot different in the USA Paul, in my state I pay for a registration for my boat for 2 years at a time for about $30 and I can fish anywhere I can launch it, if a stretch of water is navigable by a boat it cannot be privately owned, it’s public access water. Never understood clubs controlling river sections, I can see a private lake on private property but a river should be public access. BOAT, stands for Break Out Another Thousand$ 👍

Sure does stand for that matey. Nice hobby to have though mate and we’ll worth the cash. Yeah over here we have to pay for everything, taxed on everything three times and then don’t get much in return. We pay a river later cense but can’t find any boat ramps anywhere. What am I paying for again? Paying just to float on water. This country is a joke

@@riverpiker my boat was the most expensive bit of fishing kit I ever purchased by far but it’s the best money I ever spent on fishing kit too. Gets me to fish I would never have the opportunity to catch just shots fishing. I looking at getting a fishing kayak for places j can’t launch my boat.

@@riverpikerproblem is it’s just not designed with lure anglers in mind at all. I’m trying to find anywhere to a) launch my kayak b) find a length of canal or river that allow kayak fishing and c) find somewhere that holds something other than wasps 😂 nightmare so jealous of usa lads
