The reality of piking, sometimes you just don't get much action and the one you might've caught got away . Great to see you using both deadbait and lure 👍

those weir pools.. i once watched 2 fellers fishing from a boat right in middle of teddington lock, they were whopping out 10lb+ pike like they were roach fishing one after the other.. the fish love the aerated water and food there i think... shame about the lost lumpy pike but... i do feel you lure anglers are VERY impatient, almost like its a race to get em in as quick as possible... slow up a bit i find the big fish need a good few seconds to realise they are hooked, then let them start the battle.. .. .. very well presented vid 20 mins perfect length wi not too much jibber jabber.. nice one

I still feel sick mate. Initially the fish didn’t hardly even move, like a dead weight. Then it started to plod before the hooks flew back it me... gutted. Yes, definitely blind in that eye. Other eye was fine. Looked like quite an old fish tbh. Thanks for checking out the video though mate. Keep your awesome vids coming. Sometimes, particularly with pike, that’s a bad idea because of poachers. Also, you can often upset other anglers that fish the venues when you mention them by name. Best to swerve it altogether by simply not mentioning them imo.

@abdullahcorporation8801
@abdullahcorporation8801 4 жыл бұрын
Yes, definitely Chub and basically any other slightly predator will gladly go for a small spinner! I actually use them on a regular basis while fishing for chub in small rivers. I have even caught roach on spinner so they are basically great for catching any kind of fish ( even though I wouldn’t recommend for roach )

@@abdullahcorporation8801 mate thats great thank you. Im completely new to lure fishing im still trying to gather the gear needed (when funds allow). They are just like a little fish with a little spoon/blade at the front that rotates on like a little bar ( if that makes any sence) so any and all info and advice is very much welcome. Im gunna try get on the river or canal within the next 2 or 3 weeks.

My first deadbaited pike; i.imgur.com/VCZA0KH.jpg My heart was in my mouth, what an experience. She weighed just 10lb 2oz spot on! I was sat on roach all day, switched to mackerel with the head cut off and boom, line went. Thanks for the help, love the channel!

@@Lifeonthebank Cheers bud! This water is extremely deep. Up to 25foot in places, it's an old quarry. Do you think it's worth throwing a bait in there at all? I blanked yesterday in the margins. I find it intimidating to fish deeper water for some reason. I just imagine there is nothing there. Any advice? Cheers!
