Blanked today on River Paul. Water was a dark green colour today very murky. Tried Gobi shad, McMytail, Super Shad Rap all sorts but nothing doing. What's your go to colour for Murky mucky water conditions? Maybe I should have took a spinnerbait with me.....lesson learned. Great fish at the end (did chuckle when you stumbled)

Ian they are not easy conditions. I'd say switch to dark colours as they are meant to stand out more but personally i go for noise instead. Spinnerbaits or rattles in lures are good. Slow it down too.

Good tip re spinner-baits in colored water. I've always liked the single hook on SB's., makes unhooking more straight forward. Thanks for the videos.

Yeah it does i agree. I have taken one single off some of the spinnerbaits i have and will probably do the same on the rest.

Lovely pike, I'm a young angler trying to get into a bit of jerk bait fishing for pike and I'm just wondering over the years what is your favourite jerk bait to use and where can i get them

cheers Ryan. To be honest i'm often using different ones. I do like some of the custom jerks made from wood so i'll use those most. I'm using the Bertox at the minute, but the old Cobbs jerks are good. Buster jerk is a good shop bought lure and has a rattle.

I always had a few spinnerbaits to fish my local coloured canal. You showed you don't need a shop full of lures to catch...lol. Where did you get your jacket from as need something instead of my "sat behind alarms" suit.

no you don't need lures just variety i always say. Stuff to mix it up and trigger something. The current gear i'm wearing is from Grundens in sweden mate, really nice stuff. grundens.com/eu/

19cm Savage gear lip lure, buster jerk, any soft shads up to about 18cm size will all catch mate. See what you can find on eBay. No need to buy new you can buy second hand to save a bit of money.
