PIKE FISHING THE RIVER FOSS

What is happening guys thanks for joining me for another episode of Adams fishing adventures. On today's episode, I'm Pike fishing the River Foss in York, North Yorkshire using lures and spinners to hopefully catch a pike or two. Lure fishing for pike is one of the best types of fishing to do on these short winter days.

The second road bridge you got to about 10min in was where I got my first fish a 2lb peach took me years to get ano other one that big. I love this bit of the Foss there is some beautiful fish in there

Great video pal well done it's nice to see you fishing for a proper fish species. I am a predator angler mostly with lures and it's nice to see you out with the lures pal. Can I give you a bit of advice pal. I would suggest that you loose that 12f rod and big reel , and get your self a 6 to 8f lures rod and a smaller reel to fit the rod , and some braid on the reel. I know it all costs money bud but I promise you will enjoy your lures fishing so much more. I hope you find this helpful and not patronising. Also if you ever want some advice on any new lures to buy I would be happy to help as I've got loads and I know what works and what doesn't.

Plenty of pike all the way up the Foss. Gets too weedy int summer though. Packed wi' bait fish.

What part of the foss is this is it far from train station I’m going tomoz first time fishing the foss but most seam to be big drops with fencing and no banks

Is the Foss club controlled, or free fishing ?.

Only the strencil section is controlled by the ydaa all the rest is free fishing just look out for signs saying otherwise 🖒
