Was there for the Seattle 1960 World's. What fun for a youngster. Quick One - I saw a about 300 plus people in a line to use a typewriter. The exhibit was the future IBM Selectric Typewriter. People my not even know what I am talking about.

Nice tour of what downtown Seattle looks like! Pikes Place Market looked like an enjoyable place to go shop at. Even though the Gum wall was pretty icky,....it was part of what the area is all about in a weird way. I liked the Boardwalk area! Will you ever take a tour of the Seahawks stadium? That would really be interesting! Thanks for a Great Video!

LOVE Pikes Place!!! Awesome place to go spend some time seeing the wild stuff for sale. Across the street there use to be, may still be an amazing little bakery!!! Loved stopping in when in town. It's been a long time now. I do have some family that lives in Seattle and loves that city to the core. Too big for me to be there more than a few hours as a tourist. I live way to far out here in the boondocks for all that noise! The town I live in closes at nine all but two gas station mini marts during Summer that stay open.

I've been to Seattle twice, and your video makes me want to visit again. The first two trips, I flew in, the next time will be in the RV. :) Pike's Place is always so crowded, we actually liked the shops that were one block up from there. Less people. Better prices.

Thank You Eric, for showing the heart of Seattle. It was educational. The Market Place was very nice. The tour "Duck Boats" would be something that I might enjoy. I would skip the "Gum Wall". The Ferris Wheel---ah, Yes! Keep up the good Video Presentations.

The gum wall is about the most unsanitary place in the state other than Hanford, PP Market is good for a visit and so is the waterfront but as a rule, we avoid downtown like the plague. When at the PP Market, get a humbow and a pork stick at the Mee Sum Bakery and a bag of deep fried chicken gizzards at the place about 30 paces north of the flying fish market.

I am planning a road trip to the Pacific Northwest... while I would avoid cities in general, I kinda did want to check out some things like Pike Place Market. Thank you for warning me that it's TWELVE DOLLARS FOR TWO HOURS??? Holy hell!!! I have disabilities and can't walk fast/far, I'll have to figure something out that I can spend all day wandering around at my snail-ish pace, but not spend a fortune on basics like parking my car... good grief! I wonder if I can park my car outside the city, then ride the bus into the city and bus around between attractions? Though that might end up costing just as much?

@RVGrannyWA9 жыл бұрын
It will still exist I suppose, but in a newer format. For those of you who have not experienced Seattle, Pike Place is only a small part of the whole. The Waterfront, Space Needle, Pioneer Square, Seattle Center, and so much more are well worth the trip. My favorite thing to do is the Harbor Tour where you end on Blake Island where you are served a salmon dinner in a longhouse and are entertained by Native American dancers, unforgettable.

I concur with the general feeling about that nasty gum wall. Did anybody happen to catch the 40 dollar a pound king crab in what has to be a yupster fish market? Omg I've paid 18 bucks a pound for it down here but I thought the PNW was supposedly near where they're from. wtf?

in denver a b cycle rental bikes like that start at $30 for 30 minutes and go all the way up to $109 a day it's a rip off here in denver they got big the jumped from $24 a day all the way to $109 overnight now there fading out but some still US them.
