Didn't think male pike would get that big. Thanks for the video.

The biggest we have ever seen before this one was 35 inches. Rare to see them over 33 inches.

400 square miles of lake and we are looking down a 12 square foot hole. Do you really think we are decimating the population in the whole lake by taking the bigger pike that are nearing the end of their life cycle? Would love to discuss with you all the research done on 40+ inch pike. It would surprise you.
@davidguelette70362 жыл бұрын
Calm down. Not every lake is 400 square miles. I've seen pike fishing be affected on smaller lakes,like the one I have a cabin on.

We buy laser cut mild steel 7 tine (one guy has an 8 tine) spear heads off ebay---weld a 3/4 shaft to them and end up with a usable item that costs less than $40. Sharpen them when they get bent or dull and totally abuse them during the season. Our spears weigh 11 pounds.

Renewable resource--Don't knock something you have never tried. We have an outdoor blast and spent on average 5 hours per fish. It sure is not for everyone but our group loves it. You could always watch You Tube videos about petting kittens instead
