@@ExtremeOutdoorsmen Just checked the Ontario regs; it's illegal with the exception of Carp and Sucker spearfishing within designated areas and I wouldn't be interested in harvesting those. Same thing in BC, mainly Carp only with very limited Burbot spearfishing opportunities as well. I would actually be interested in spearing Burbot, but I know nothing about them and I live on the Coast so all we get are Trout, Salmon and introduced Bass on small lakes and ponds, which is a blessing and a curse. One province that has a wide variety of gamefish on 'allowed to spear list' is Manitoba, so maybe in a few years when my kids are older I could make a trip out there and check it out, but I would still need to hire a guide, book lodgings etc, so idk... Seems like a lot of money and effort to stab a Pike, hahaha. I'm pretty rookie when it comes to warm water gamefish anyhow, I caught my first 2 Pike last summer visiting Ontario and teaching myself how to punch grass mats for Largies on a large swampy river system with a metric f--kton of grass and pads. Managed to get a 19" and a 26" and was lucky enough that they didn't cut my braid. Also, no worries watching and supporting, I've seen a few of your vids and subbed a while back but haven't really been tuning in regularly.. I'm gonna watch a couple more vids right now while I work and I'll try to remember to do all that algorithm boosting goodness too.

Why do you let the pike swim around on the spear like your fighting it on a line? Pull it in. Its clouding up the water.

Better to be good at everything than just 1 thing. Spearing is fun fishing is fun, hunting is fun goose hunting and diver ducks are fun. He can do it all. Kinda his choice what he post I don’t think he went spearing for you lol
