Think I fished near that swim Ian. A couple of years ago. There was a massive log on the beach. 3 weeks later after rain it had gone. I'll leave the wading to braver folk than me and landed 1 barbel of the 4 hooked. Well done for getting them across the rocky ridges!

Thanks Bob, the river is a living breathing thing and I am sure there will be a few more big logs washed up in this area come winter floods. Tight lines and I hope to see you on the bank!

Evening Ian what reel line were you using and what test curve is that Diana rod you had all the fun on.Thanks for the vid once again top notch👍

I was using strong line, 12lb sub line and it was a flood water rod, I use a strong 2.3/4 tc rod, overkill for low levels but it helps to steer the fish away from bedrock easier and also helps to win the battle much quicker and helps the barbel regain strength quickly before the release.
