Pikes Peak POV Cruise UNCUT From Start To Finish // Triumph Speed Twin 1200 [4K]

Today we take Sasha, our 2021 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 up to the very tippy top of Pikes Peak in Colorado. On a warm Summer's morn these days, it is near impossible to not encounter slow traffic on your way up this infamous road, so we take it easy and enjoy the slow ride 19 miles to the summit. As we crawl our way through the sweeping curves and endless switchbacks we take in the breathtaking views and let it sink in that our wonderful journey through Colorado's most iconic motorcycle roads is coming to an end. Another mediocre adventure in the books.

lookin at buying my first bike. love the way the speed twins sound. I am between the speed twin 400 and the 900. A little worried the 900 might be too much to start on though.

If you have any experience riding at all, the 900 will probably suit you just fine. Sure, at first it may seem like a little too much, but just ride carefully and defensively until you can build up your confidence. The 400 from what I've heard is a fantastic bike, but it designed to be an entry level bike. You will out grow it eventually. And because it is so new, the aftermarket is quite limited.

This is a very famous private road and it is extremely dangerous to overtake and strictly prohibited and enforced. Trust me, I was very tempted to overtake but this was one of the rare occasions that I respected the rules of the park because going over the side of this road by cooking a corner or swerving to avoid oncoming traffic has very serious consequences. So… to answer your question, yes, it very well could kill me or someone else to overtake on this particular road.
