Stephen seems to play more for gaining numbers and winning through the long run while Mal GUNS for the Marbles to win ASAP, it's kind of interesting to see how you two deal with each other's methods. Also I'm slightly disappointed you guys didn't opt for Angle Maze, but since it's not happening I might as well say it: in some maps for Angle Maze, a Ranging Long Legs will jump in and it's hilarious.

The play style differences are pretty funny. Stephen is so content with building pikmin and resource management. Mal handles many of the situations as quickly as possible, somewhat freestyling along the way. That being said, I think the rules were pretty good. Stephen probably does better in a smaller map (as shown in the first game), while Mal probably does better in a bigger map where it will be hard to reach her. If this were Starcraft, I think Mal would be a good Zerg player, while Stephen would probably play Protoss. Also, that was the best ending. 😂

Fun Fact. In battle mode, you can actually pick up bombs with your captains and carry them around. It makes for some hilarious shenanigans. Also, good job, Mal. I'm pleasantly surprised to see how well you did.

Yep, years ago, my little brother used to throw all but one of his Pikmin off the edge, hide it somewhere “safe”, and then chase me around with bombs, essentially trying to kamikaze me into Pikmin extinction. 😆 My brothers and I also had a specific house rule: no winning by yellow marbles. This forced us to be confrontational, rather than passive with yellows. LOTS of Pikmin wars, hahaha

This was a great finale. I honestly enjoyed challenge mode up until now more than the full game because you guys were having fun. That and you finally threw caution to the wind a few times and it finally paid off for you guys, and I think that's the biggest difference to me. This was fantastic, and would honestly love to see a rematch in the future.

Glad you had fun with 2-player mode. Pikmin 3 is very easy, consider it your break. All the elements in pikmin 3 take a long time to kill you pikmin, fire and water, and now electricity only stuns you pikmin. The new pikmin in pikmin 3 are way overpower. Ps there is a 2-player challenge mode in pikmin 3, and it is a lot of fun. Hope to see pikmin 3 soon.

Oh my god! Pikmin 2 is over! I actually started watching the series in mid September but it has been wild, fun but at many points very unpleasant! As an "experienced" pikmin player these are my tips for how you should handle pikmin 3: ⊙Do not go into pikmin 3 thinking it will be a cakewalk compared to pikmin 2!!!!!! Lots of people were comforting you by the end of pikmin 2's campaign by saying pikmin 3 is sooo much easier! THEY ARE LYING TO YOU! While I personally think pikmin 2 is more difficult than 3 I would still compare 3's difficulty as being closer to 2's than 1's. Yes there are no caves, everything is above ground, but guess what that means? The 13 minute timer returns and a system somewhat similar to 1's 30 day system will be in pikmin 3! On top of that pikmin 3 requires more management and time keeping skills than 2 because of the 13 minute timer etc and because there will be 3 captains! So for the love of all that is lamp-like, do not go into pikmin 3 expecting a drop in difficulty because it won't be! ⊙Stephen's backseat gaming I know many people had been giving out during the campaign that Stephen backseat gamed when Mal was playing (which is true) and Stephen and some others had countered that Mal copes a bit better in stressful pikmin situations if someone is telling her what to do. Look at it this way, if Mal relies on Stephen to get through intense pikmin situations her handling of such situations won't improve. I think it's better for Mal to face these situations with as little help from Stephen as possible because, while she may at first be worse at handling these situations compared to if Stephen back seat gamed her, she'll be able to learn and improve more on her own than by being back seat gamed by him ! Eventually going from 2/10-8/10 is better than always being at 5/10 in my opinion. ⊙Practice!!! Definitely practice before doing the pikmin 3 lp! It's pretty clear you guys didn't have much practice with any pikmin game before you headed into pikmin 2 and it definitely had an impact. I think many people were frustrated during the lp because you had to relearn so much of what was in pikmin 1 on top of all the new stuff in pikmin 2! During the lp there were a number of times when you would learn how to do something one episode, then a couple of episodes later you guys had forgotten that something! There was even a point in the dream den where you guys thought Red bulborbs periodically wake up which really baffled me because 1. It's not true 2. The Red bulborb has been in the game since early on so how could you not know. Pikmin is a strategy game and as you have seen there are alot of things to learn and memorize and I believe the way to best learn + memorize these things is to experience the game in a short space of time (1 month or less). I think coming into this lp rusty and playing the campaign over 5+ months was detrimental to your gameplay because the rustiness and long spaces of time caused you to not be able to retain skills you had learned as well as you could compared to playing the campaign in a month! That is why I recommend you have lots of practice with pikmin 3's mission modes in the weeks coming up to the pikmin 3 lp! ⊙Lastly, it's okay to reset! I think ep 40/47 was when you first had to leave a dungeon. In the dream den you guys had to leave and come back like 3 times! Some of those exits could have been avoided if you had just reset! You said you did this for something along the lines of "the enjoyment of the viewers." While I agree with this "no reset" philosophy in the case of "we lost 5 pikmin, their death has little impact" I don't agree with it in the case of "we're at the end of the dungeon, our whole squad just got killed". "For the enjoyment of the viewers" you said. Trust me, I don't think anybody enjoyed watching you having to leave Dream Den three times, I was personally extremely annoyed when you left Dream Den because you didn't have a handful more blue pikmin to pick up a stack of cards in the water on one of the last sub-levels. I would have been completely happy and satisfied if you had reset that sub-level! The series really took a nosedive for me beginning at ep 40 because of this self implemented rule. Thank you for reading if you did! I enjoyed your lp alot! Challenge mode was very enjoyable to watch, so was this episode (#TeamMal). The campaign, while I enjoyed it too, there were maaannnyy low points, and I can say without a doubt it is the most stressed I have seen you two! But thank you for remaining determined! Here's to better things in Pikmin 3!
