Regarding your comments about the Brute Knuckles.., In the Japanese and some European versions of PM: TTYD, Vivian is biologically male (but self-identifies as female) and is attracted to Mario, so she's technically homosexual, meaning that Nintendo (fortunately) isn't homophobic.
