the first time i played i didn't know how to read and i stumbled into getting every fruit but i never saved olimar and just kept running around killing and transporting enemies until day 99 and then i just kept replaying day 99 and running out of juice

Olimar and Brittany explained it, their life support systems is putting them asleep not for an useless reason it's for making them "hibernating" so they cannot die off starvation,succomber to their bruise and all ect but it don't work in their spaceship , it's an emergency triggered that's why when Olimar is held captive by the plasma wraith he can't control his sleep fonction since he's always in an intense stress,starving and hurt in critical condition character

I feel like that softlock on day 99 is intentional, as by then, if you actually return to Koppai, there's not gonna be anyone or anything left to greet you. You took too long and now you're simply left, alone, with your thoughts. Alph, Brittany, and Charlie are probably the last living Koppaites left on day 99, seeing as they likely have no offworld colonies.

@@Z333_0 Actually, that's possible. Olimar returns to PNF-404 twice, and the pikmin seem to only follow him by instinct rather than memory. There's also the fact that only less than 10 are left when he returns. Clearly time 'runs differently' in these different parts of the universe, and so the crew may have been away for possibly millions of years before returning to Koppai, only to find a barren wasteland.

The first time I played pikmin 3 it took me 83 days and I didn’t get all the fruit and i was on day 28 when I finished that bridge in the distant tundra. Now, I’m on day 28 (Pikmin 3 deluxe) and I have all the fruits and 28 more badges to go until I’ve 100% the game.

no? all 3 main pikmin games (and probably hey! pikmin) have multiple endings. we don't know which of 3's endings is canon yet since we probably won't be getting another sequel for another decade (half-joking), but it almost definitely isn't this since this is a softlock caused by the game not being designed to advance past day 99 and not an actual ending.

I think that actually that was because the game don't know what to do because of the existence of no log, and no in-game code to nothing after the 99 days (you are supose to starve in this day) so the game don't know what to do, trying to read a log that don't exist while try to initiate a code for day 100 (don't exist) and trying to load everything that don't exist resulting in a overflow, nintendo think that nobody would reach day 99 and even so, they program to force a game over screen after this day, but since the game is in overflow, he just get softlock by excess of information
