Well this time seems pretty good as Moss can lead and protect the Pikmin, and the Ancient Sirehound seems to be friendly (it’s walking behind and it’s eyes have turned blue) and seems to be an ally to moss and the Pikmin now, so they have that protection as well. But yeah in the past game it seems like you were leaving the Pikmin alone.

I think the reason why the good ending of Olimar’s Shipwreck Tale still ended the same was because Olimar canonically failed to escape before his life support failed. In the good ending, it just happened to be caused by Moss who cared for Olimar enough to try and escape with him, though it would cost his life.

It is so dark that it doesn't matter if Olimar manages to repair his ship or not, he ends up dying anyways, and the only reason he survives it's because of the help of the rescue corps finding a cure to the leafling disease, that ironically is the thing that managed to bring him back to life

I have a theory. This isn’t a retcon. It’s a semi-time loop. One purposefully made by whatever entity the Umibozu is. For starters: Louie has crashlanded on Earth and the Water Wraith has already formed. I have a feeling that the Umibozu is trying to evolve itself quicker to become much more dangerous and deadly so that it can finally get rid of Olimar.

i think this takes place after 3 because olimar says he's been in a lot of situations like this before if you say "let's chat!" 3 times. so it just seems like he explains things differently for new players. also at the start of the olimar's tale game mode, he says at the start that he'll simply utilize pikmin and talks as if he has used them before, and he already has the red onion following him by the start of the story. the only "what's this?" he does is about flarlic, which makes sense since we do not see it in any other pikmin game. i think they called it pikmin 4 cus it's the fourth adventure. it's just a bit confusing for some reason

My pitch for a pikmin 5 is that PNF-404 is dying out, so the rescue corps, Olimar, and the trio from Pikmin 3 join forces to help save the planet. The pikmin have done so much for them, so it will give them a chance to save the pikmin. It would be satisfying seeing the planet slowly come back to life over the course of the game.

So basically this game takes place after the bad ending in Pikmin in the logs it even says Olimar has a dream where hoctate freight goes in a huge debt it can’t payoff aka Pikmin 2. Going further after you beat the first half in the second half with louie we find out the koppai's from pikmin 3 have still come to this planet while the names have changed. This means the events still took place of there planet needing food. It even mentions how when they met louie he stole all there juice.

I bought Pikmin 4 on 12/24/23 and finished it today 1/3/25. This was my first first pikmin game, and Nintendo game in general out of Mario. I loved this game so much and was really sad when the whole thing happened. I got the secret ending since I wanted all onions before I finished the game and it was a very bitter sweet ending, rip my 52 pikmin. I’ll remember you forever.

theres actually a small pattern that I've noticed with Pikmin, each time you encounter wild ones there's more of them, in pikmin one you start with a single red pikmin that the onion spits out, it always has one pikmin at the ready so their species doesn't die out entirely, in Pikmin 2 when you meet red pikmin three of them are working together to take down a lil bulborb and in 3 you find a whole group of yellow Pikmin just chilling on a can enjoying the sun and in four you find little groups of the buggers all over the place and rings of planted pikmin they were in a sad state in one, probably on the brink of extinction, but with the Help of Olimar and everyone else that they meet, they aren't just surviving anymore, they're thriving.

fact for olimar's shipwreck tale: there is (even if you get ALL the parts) no good ending for olimar, his life support ends and he gets turned into a leafling either way, so on that note, for me, im not gonna get all the parts because of that fact, sorry olimar

There was no difference between good and secret I had the purple and white onion and they where different colors in the final scene but here the 2 endings are identical

These are not different endings, these all come naturally during the course of the game. Only the Olimar story endings can be considered different.
