A few things I want to say about this cave. 1. Wow, an actually hard Empress Bulblax encounter! That’s really surprising! 2. The Sovereign Bulblax was pretty difficult with the sand mound revealing water. I lost nearly half of my squad to it. Had to use Glow Pikmin for the final battle. 3. THE FINAL BOSS IS AMAZING! The Ancient Sirehound easily trumps the original Emperor Bulblax, Titan Dweevil, and Plasm Wraith! The reason is because it is fun! It’s so fast paced and exhilarating! Sure, I lost a few times, but I was still having a blast!

1. Just position yourself at its back and charge. Flee before it can roll through the exit. 2. Use a Bomb Rock when it's attacking, then charge. 3. Yeah.

This is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever faced in the entirety of any Pikmin thing. I genuinely regret being worried about this game being too easy CUZ THEY SHOWED just how easy it is to turn the tides that fast, holy shit. I had to leave the cave and grind Pikmin more times than I would have liked to, I lost SO, MANY, PIKMIN. Not to mention the constant 20 FUCKING FLOORS WITH HARDER BOSSES- god DAMN!

I made the grave mistake of bringing 60 pikmin since the cave told me there were wild pikmin. What the game didn’t tell me is that there were ONLY candypop buds. I finally made it through with about 15 resets, with a majority of them being that Arctic cannon beetle fight.

Well. Pikmin 1 and 2 was hard to keep pikmins alive. Carry pikmin with Oatchi and Pikmin’s 3 horn make that easier.

@@Rexaura888 spoilers Though oatchi’s tail now being a leaf is a very important part to the story, people only find out later in the game and wont know the reason till they experience it themselves. Game ruiners are important stuff like returning characters, bosses, returning enemies, etc.

A Theory I have is: Cavern for a King stretches across pretty much all around the explorable maps except for Sun Speckled Terrace since there are no bosses except for the Porquillion that I don't recall if we can even encounter in Cavern for a King First of all there are so many bosses from all around the maps. I know that it's the final cave and it's supposed to be hard with everything we encountered thrown at us again before the BEHEMOTH that is the Sirehound However I'd like to say that in Sublevel 19 which is the final rest stop we are back in Blossoming Arcadia if you looked around at the sky. Matches up with the playground that you can see in off in the distance as you explore BA. Personally I think this massive cavern is connected to some of the caves we already seen, probably way deeper down than what we are allowed to explore, where more of the boss we fought's kind can be found and living in a whole new underworld, but you probably don't need to believe this last bit lmao💀

Fun fact, you can cheese all the ones who step in water or sludge by just using ice Pikmin to freeze what they’re currently standing in, because unlike freeze bombs or ice Pikmin’s attacks, there’s no time limit on how long it’ll stay frozen. That’s definitely a lifesaver when it comes to long legs, because while you may be tempted to use winged Pikmin on it since they can just fly up and don’t have to climb the legs, their attack power on ground enemies is really lacking.

The difficulty of the dandori stuff was good, but I find that way less compelling than actually fearing for your pikmins life. There was no reason to collect flowers or corpses because I always had hundreds of pikmin in reserve. That kinda defeats the central premise of the game, you should always be on the lookout for more pikmin, always feel like it’s a hard decision to send pikmin into battle or save them for later.

Homestly i didnt have to many troubles with this cave surprisingly. I only really lost 20/100 Pikmin by sublevel 19. I did have to retry the ancient pup fight once because i forgot to put some Pikmin in the Candypop Buds, but its attacks were easy to learn and so it was easy to fight

I wanted to just save Oatchi as soon as I could, so I relied heavily on Glow and Purple Pikmin to blast through everything that looked at me funny. My only major losses being at the final phase of the sire hound fight.

I wanted to have all 9 pikmin types present while doing this cave (you gotta pick red/yellow, rock and winged. Everything was going fine until I reached Sublevel 16. The game apparently doesn't want you to have more than 7 types, so the Candypop Buds were for Ice Pikmin instead of Purple, which prevented me from killing the 2 Waterwraiths.

i recommend rushing into him so all pikmin would start attacking him, lightning strikes are really useful and using an ultra spicy spray after rushing into him is a big help as well.

I have been playing each game in practice for this game. I played it so much that I was thankfully able to only lose 2. Along with the training from all the Dandori and the Sage Leafling. Also from wisely using rock bombs and spicy stuff.

SPOILER ALERT: Louie becoming an outright antagonist who doesn’t want to return to Hocotate (and thus be forced to work for minimum wage with little time for breaks since Olimar and the President of Hocotate Freight would watch him like hawks) makes me both happy that I called he’d be outright sabotaging rescue efforts and concerned he’s more than willing to let other people and/or their pets die and he even tries to outright kill the Rookie and Oatchi with the final boss when they come down there for him and the hair they need to cure Oatchi’s illness.
