@@himm_2559I’ve got a feeling that upgrading Otachi’s carry amount will be a big first for people. Considering he can cary up to 100 at max, using him to cary heavy stuff to save your squad of Pikmin to do other things seems like it would be important.

When I first played the demo I played for about 2-3 hours for the initial story that you’re allowed to do. Seeing all that progress in under 30 minutes is sad crazy

Something small I learned while replaying the demo. In the character creator, you can press R to get through all of the options without having to see all the animations. It goes by much faster!

You don't actually have to wait for the boss at the beginning to shoot out all of its spikes to be able to damage it!

And the more Pikmin you collect before attacking him, the quicker he goes down. If you have all 100, you can one-shot him. I wonder what's the optimum number of Pikmin so you don't waste time gathering them, but the fight is still as short as possible.

For the mini boss in the beginning when you're playing as Olimar you don't need to wait for it to shoot its spikes 4 times, as long as you latch on to the empty part you can attack it right away after it shoots once

How? I just tried I had like 3 treasures + the blue onion to get. How do you do it in 3 days? The best I can do is 4 tho... I wonder what upgrade you took for Oatchi, all I know is that the charge horn is a must

@@Nini-wq8uh All you need is good Dandori :) Jokes aside, you need to get Buff Lv3 for Oatchi in order to transport the Blue Onion, which means (since you can only do two caves max on day 2) you don't get Command Lv2, which makes things much more difficult. The important thing I think is to do as much as possible on day 2, since there's only so much you can do without riding Oatchi or building bridges. Apart from that it's just important to know where everything is, as well as remember that treasures will stay where you left them when you enter caves, and this can be used to your advantage especially when moving your base around.

@@nataly_171 Alright I'll try that. If pikmins are carrying something or are left alone somewhere on the map then you enter a cave, do they die or teleport to you into the cave? I think I've been wasting my time calling everyone before entering caves...

The ‘Idle Counter’ Upgrade Appears On The HUD, Allowing You To See How Many Pikmin Are Idle At Any Time, Unlike Pikmin 2’s Idle Counter That Was Stuck In The Pause Menu. wait at the very beggining why did you wait for the hedgehog creature to eject all its spikes ? can't you rush it after the first section is exposed since the dog dash does focus all your pikmins in one area ?

Man I hope Nintendo makes changes based on feedback of this demo cause they made some extremely harmful decision with the gameplay (mainly throwing Pikmin cap and auto lock on). I'm really torn cause the rest of the demo is just excellent.

I didn't like the concept of Oatchi at the start. I thought he basically made blues useless, again, because he just allows all pikmin types to cross water. As a Pikmin, Oatchi is terribly designed and I stand by that. He still makes Blues near useless, but also makes Purples' carrying useless too. Red's deal increased damage? No, Oatchi does. He inherently makes utility Pikmin (Yellow, Whites, Winged, Ice) all stronger on his own. As a Captain, however, it's a breath of fresh air to have one that can't pluck Pikmin, can jump and can provide benefits to Pikmin such as a movement speed buff for leaves and purples. It makes the two captains feel completely unique from one another and allows for an interesting dynamic. And I think that's how I plan to use Oatchi in my own personal playthough. *Stellar* job with the second captain, Nintendo!

I have my concerns with pikmin 4 already. They also changed a lot of things that are core in the pikmin world/game mechanics: however I find that these changes don’t feel bad, feels like they wanted to go all out and it’s a really fun game. Sadly the difficulty suffers and the super hand holding this game does really puts the older games in a different league or their own. Pikmin 1 and 2’s version of hand holding was perfect. This game being too easy idc if it’s the first main area; makes me worried. The dog feels OP but he’s so cute I can over look it. I’m a little worried also with how blues will be used once the dog can float on water and swim. Just some of many things I’ve noticed I’m concerned about. However make no mistake: this very different pikmin game is still very fun and I do love all the improvements and the complexes they added. And upgrade system ain’t bad at all. Can’t wait to play the full game. Now to go back and try to 100% the area by day 3

Oatchi can't fight underwater, and Blue will still be useful travering water and bringing back lots of items and materials inaccessable to other Pikmin
