After all these years John still has so much energy, he's matured over the years. Superb vocals, sang in a tone that only John knows. Thanks for posting ! 😎🇬🇧👍

Good song. Fitting lyric while recalling the time Mr. Anarchy here was on Judge Judy. He had fired his drummer for demanding more money, after agreeing to a tour. The drummer sued, and they wound up on Judge Judy. One of those near surreal TV moments you never forget. Judge Judy ruled in John's favor too, I am happy to report. Even though she kept telling him to shut up.

I saw PIL at a place called Iguana's in Tijuana, Mex back in '91 or '92 and it was a great show. One of the girls that came with us came away with a bloody nose from the pit. She was tough as nails and stuck it out in the pit with all the guys. She was a rock star...

Lu Edmonds RULEZ!PIL recorded albums with 3 different guitar geniuses, starting with original ax man Kierh Levine, who played on and wrote for the first 3 studio albums although he left and took his guitar tracks before This is what you want was released. Then,Steve Vai played guitar on the album album, then John Mcgeoch joined along with Lu to play the complex new album songs along with the Levine songs.Levine and Mcgeoch defined post punk guitar playing. Via was a child prodigy who toured with and recorded with Zappa before being recruited to record along with Ginger Baker and Bill Laswell and other world class musicians to do a kind of metal/fusion/world music take on pil's abrasive and abstract post punk. Levine created the rhythm and lead together screeching post punk sound. Mcgeoch pioneered a similar sound with arpeggioed sonic brushes with Magazine and Sousxie and the Banshees before his jaunt with pil in the mid 80s till 92. Edmonds masterfully plays the pil catalog flawlessly and refines and evolves the songs as this current lineup still rocks after over a decade of touring-and does so with multiple stringed instruments as well as keyboards. Bravo!

Agree that Keith was a great guitarist...but that's not him. That's Lu Edmonds in his first stint with the band. Keith left the band in 1983, but this clip is May 2010, playing the first single of the band from 1978.

@@rpmhart Thanks for the info. I was not sure who it was. I was loving that Tele tone and his playing. The whole time thinking 'this is better than the record.' I was around NYC soon after this song was released. Public Image was a big influence. Lots of great druggie players who couldn't hold up back in the day. One of my early memories from hanging in the NYC scene was hearing of Keith robbing the band. Good times. Now I've gotta look up Lu Edmonds. Thanks again for the tip!
