And that was not just any Japanese man. He is Kenzo Shirai. 3 Time World Floor Exercise Champion in 2013, 2015 and 2017. He is capable of scoring 16.000 on floor with a Difficulty Value of 7.2. He was the 1st to perform a Quadruple Twist at a World Championships. Only Shirai and Simone Biles have successfully performed a Triple Twisting Double Salto in a World Championships. The most difficult skill on floor so far. Yulo and Shirai train at the National Gymnastics Training Center in Tokyo Japan. ❤️

I think that Japan and Philippines have always had a good relationship with each other. We were colonized by the Japanese and we have their culture and traditions even up to this day. I think we are very welcoming with the Japanese and I don't see any problem with that at all.

It's tougher for us Filipinos to get into this world stage more so winning a medal. We don't have good facilities, good program, good support like these other powerhouse countries (USA, China, Japan, Russia, UK etc.) has. And yet with talent like this it's unbelievable makes us more proud Yulo representing PH.

I was jumping with pride when this happened less than a year ago, and now gold medal on the podium, how ecstatically proud I am even more. Caloy will go to the Olympics as the reigning world champion on floors, the thought is just mind blowing. Love this powerhouse, he has beaten the best of the bests, well, technically with the absence of Kenzo Shirai, but still, he's beaten the reigning world champions Arthur Dalaloyan and Nagornyy🤯😍🥰☝️✌🏻🤟🙏🇵🇭❤

Kenzo shirai might be carlos’ greatest rival in the floor exercise during the tokyo olympics.kenzo was the first one to do the triple twist that everybody thought was not possible.injuries just precluded him to be in his best.well just like any other athletes...but i pray that carlos will be in his best form during the olympics🙏🙏🙏

Hes very good in floor excercise. Kailangan nya na lang gawing flawless yung high bar excercise nya. Train pa more Carlos and bring home the beacon in the next years.

Marami p sanang ganito Hindi puro Basketball pa gilas gilas ala naman angas. Yung mga ganitong sports ay level playing field , pure skilled, talent, determination d kailangan bumili ng player sa ibang bansa to reoresent us. Congrats, something to watch sa Olympics d na lang puro sabit at nag hahanap ng foreign player n may dugong pinoy.

@@bigchungus1251 I have seen Nile's routine. Difficulty and execution wise, caloy is superior. The threat in the floor is kenzo shirai. If he will have clean landings he is very hard to beat . His difficulty is still unmatched. Caloy still have years to train. He will surely make it big having seen his passion in the sports. His brother is also the future of Philippine gymnastics. 😊

@@markmagallanes226 yes but his biggest threat is still nile wilson. If caloy wants to win he needs to stick the landings. Their are alot of deductions on his floor routine. Not so strong at bars.

At the beginning he seems to be so timid as a first timer, but wow he got the Bronze medal and now 2019 won the World's Championship.. so Cute but has very Amazing Skill.. 😊😊😊
