PC24 is an amazing aircraft - the Australian Royal Flying Doctor Service were a launch customer, ability to land on dirt strips and then get patients back to hospital over long distances at jet speeds is a game changer.

I love the RFDS... they're fantastic. I was invited to their opening day for their new facility at YPAD... unfortunately COVID hit and that was the end of that. A few years back I did some deliveries to their old base at YPAD and someone took me through for a quick look around. Big respect to what they do. :)

Actually PlaneSense was the launch customer for the PC24 with N124AF
@benwilson91507 ай бұрын
It was heavily designed around the needs of the RFDS, there are very few operators who take plans into the conditions the flydocs do especially purposely landing on something that isn’t intended to be a landing strip!

Everyone talks about the PC-12 but to me the PC-24 is the most amazing. Its ability to operate on dirt strips and takeoff in 3000 feet to blows away everything else on the market. The TBM is my favorite TP but the PC-24 is my favorite jet. I love the factory tours since I started as a machinist and am now a mechanical engineer. Thank you for making this video!
The BAe 125 (Later Hawker 800/900) could do all those things as well and it was being built 30 years ago. Have you noticed how alike they are...?

It can't really land on dirt. The 24 is very fragile and prone to damage when taken off road. Whilst it has the performance to do it, you will find that none of the aeromed operators in Australia are actually taking it to dirt strips for anything other than promotional videos.

Flavia is certainly very talented but the best part is the results of her work on display in each aircraft that leaves the nest!! I grew up around an old Taylorcraft on floats in Alaska in the early 1950s, and always loved the idea of an aircraft that wasn't limited to pretty asphalt airstrips! My dad and his friend who actually owned the plane, flew all over the Territory of Alaska "in the Old Days." Taylorcraft was great in its day but the PC-12 and PC-24 are incredible!

Thank you for this amazing and awe inspiring video! Over decades, I worked with both Swissair and Crossair, and was an independent airline technical representative to Douglas and Boeing. Daily, I watched how aircraft were built on production and delivery lines, and Pilatus was always renown for its supreme quality. Visiting industrial mechanical shops and watchmaking facilities, I have long admired what I term "The Swiss Culture of Quality". It's everywhere! Take a look at the Pilatus facilities; extremely clean, well organized and you can instantly tell the quality and drive of its people. The same is true throughout the country in countless ways, inspired by unique beauty and a deep desire to create only the very best that can be obtained. Bravo gentlemen! Your example continues to inspire me to do better! I only wish we in America could come close to this level of craftsmanship and quality!

I've been on 3 aircraft plant tours. Twice to Cirrus in Duluth Minnesota just before their Cirrus Jet went into production. The other time was at Cessna in Wichita Kansas. At Cessna they were certifying the Cessna Citation X and they were working on the JPATS Trainer entry which wasn't selected. At Cessna I saw the Caravan line as well as one of the Citation lines. It's cool seeing how the plane starts with one part and grows to a fully built plane. In the Twin Cities I've also been to the Ballistic Recovery Systems plant at Fleming Field in South St Paul. They make the Airplane parachute for Cirrus planes, as well as parachutes for supply drops for the US Military.

Thanks for making an honest to God factory tour that features the people that work there instead of inserting your personality all over the video. I normally dread these kind of "tours" because you really don't learn much and usually have to deal with an over the top host. Not here! A great idea to mix having the factory folks and yourself alternate hosting. And the short snippets of you and your wife (again, something I usually dread) were entertaining because they were short and mostly AFTER I learned something. Great job. Neat plane.
