Man oh Man this is so nice to see, I strived to climb up the ranks to get a Jet rating, but two divorces knocked me out. Only millionaires can access these beauties. After all my efforts, I can look back pat myself on my back and say I flew complex and high performance single engine Cessnas and Pipers. A Jet is rocket and that is something to experience. At 64 years old now, its too late to realize that dream.

Honestly, I want a new air show team in the military like the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds but instead of jets it's P-51s.

Hey Steveo, I am an IFR student trying to learn more about flight plans and en-route procedures. I would love to fly charter / private as my full-time job one day. Were you required to file an International Flight Plan for this flight considering you entered the ADIZ over the Gulf of Mexico, or is that considered ‘domestic’ airspace?

On this flight you file a domestic flight plan. 👍🏼

I live in California, I’ll be moving out of Northern California soon but I know Central versus northern, really isn’t much of a difference. But one of things I’ve always wanted to get my pilots license. My cousin got it and he loves it. My favorite plane of course is EP 51. And I saw they have the SW 51 which is the 70% scale for carbon fiber version. A lot cheaper than a $3 million plane that’s for sure. But it put it in the feasibility range as far as convincing my girlfriend that this is something that can be done. I’m sure she wants her pilots license to but still 3 million bucks is 3 million bucks. Just Isop job even though it is an old fighter plane if anything specific or special is required to get the license

He sounds like Capt Jim Crockett Hawaii 78 -84 VMFA 235 DEATH ANGELS. I went from Squadron to a high power rifle and long distance shooter till I retired after 22yrs. God bless everyone who served. Diggy Dog in Va. P.S. Kaneohe Bay was home of the Black Sheep during WW2 for a lot of the war. They covered much ground, check their history. Fun ! This stuff kept me flying, and still hang glide, paragliding, etc. Greatest flight was in an SNJ Naval fighter from ww2, awesome aircraft. Some jet stuff is fun but nothing like the seat of your pants stuff. Sorry I get caught up.

Hey Steve. You are probably aware that the TBM’s that you are used to flying are faster than the Vision Jet. Both are turbine powered but if you look at the max rated speed of both, it tells us that the TBM surpasses the Vision Jet. I don’t know how noisy the two are but the TBM is faster. In the Vision Jet, the noise maker is over your head. In the TBM, the noise is out in front of you. You are probably aware of all of this already, but I thought I would mention this.

Pull the choke out and throttle it! That’s how we could fly the Spitfire inverted. We didn’t have oxygen just low altitudes and our issued Irvine jacket.
