OMG Mad Mad Mad Mad World absolutely had me ROLLING as a kid! The cast is the A list of comic actors of that time, including of course Jonathan Winters about as good as you ever could see him. Lars and the Real Girl has more heart than you might think. And Nick Cage had friends film him drunk, and he watched the video to inform his drunk performance. OOOOH and the famous "I'm walking here" line was an AD LIB! The taxi was an actual taxi that honked at them!

Yeah, DVD likes everything so I was shocked that he doesn't like TCoR. Vin Diesel got super pissed in interviews that so many people were asking him for a proper sequel or trilogy for that movie. I don't think he fully understood how well the movie connected with the audience. I felt like him and the writer were too scared to take on the responsibility of how huge the production would be. What I mean is that movie was so well loved that a sequel would've been a much bigger budget, with bigger expectations. After seeing how the Matrix sequels were received, that was a valid fear.

I'm really surprised that Darren isn't a fan of the Reacher series on Prime. For my money it's head and tails above the Reacher movies (insert Tom Cruise short joke here). Especially Season 2. Darren needs to check that out!

There are people who hate Tom Cruise but I'm not one of them. I thought the Cruise Reacher movies were OK but other people complained that he just wasn't Reacher. Then - I saw what Alan Ritchson looked like - and I got it immediately. The Reacher in the books - as I now understand it - is actually taller than Ritchson by a few inches. Cruise is short - not just compared to Ritchson - but compared to ... me. Given the presence Reacher is supposed to have - I can see whey those other guys just could not take Cruise seriously as Reacher. Rictchson is supportive of the Cruise version though. He was respectful of Cruise's talent and basically said that there was room for more than one interpretation. .
@50Nobody50Күн бұрын
@@BobSmith-dk8nw its fashionable to hate on him because religion, but he's always good at every role he does. The first Reacher film is really good, the second forgettable. The series was a perfect casting, and it became hard to see Cruise as Reacher after watching it. The only prob I have with the guy doing lists, is the same with all of them, they basically like everything.
