Just a random idea from a random person, by those trap doors, one is supposed to ignore, (with a little more effort, but "faster rates" ) place an iron golem behind them at the right position to attract the pillagers out of the portal.

I know this is an old comment but I had the same problem. My issue was that my exit portal was linked to one of the 4 on the ground instead of the kill portal. That caused the mobs to only spawn up top once it was full and the rates were terrible. I had to move my kill portal over top of the one that was linked in correctly and it fixed everything.

​@@AbdulAbdul-lj2zd It should in singleplayer, try world download and update to current version to test. I modified the design to work in a single dimension for multiplayer since anyone in the nether more than 128 blocks away from the nether side of the farm will despawn the mobs.

So i made this on my SMP and got it all set up but the only way i actually get any pillagers through the top portal is if i do a little fly by on the ground and attack a couple then fly back up. Otherwise it does nothing though I can clearly see the pillagers going through the ground portals. the times that I do get them through the top portal, they just stand there at the portal completely ignoring the magma blocks. I even tried making an iron golem to draw them out but then they get stuck on the trapdoor lip. any suggestions?

If you change the sand/grass for a block they dont spawn on in any light, you can make a dark room with a redstone lamp switch to turn the spawning on and off, and lets you use the pillager outpost farm as a raid farm too. atho this will require alot of spawnproofing. A raid wont start properly till all living pillagers are dead so a switch is nececary and having the spawning platform for the raid 112 blocks over the village center will result in all the waves to spawn within seconds of eachother allowing you to switch from an outpost farm to a high efficency raid farm quickly after getting bad omen. and by tuning on the spawns again you can even pause the raid from progressing if you want to do somthing else in the meantime and come back later and just kill off the few outpost sawned pillaers to resume your raid farming

For anyone having issues with the pillagers getting stuck in the nether/not going through portal. For some reason it works when a player is standing next to the portals in the nether. Idk why or how to fix this. I built this on my survival server and had this issue. Then a friend went to the nether portal where they get sent to and all of a sudden the farm was working perfectly fine and they were going through the portal. This is also for Java only if anyone on bedrock is wondering.

Chapman please pin this! *Fix for the pillagers getting stuck in the drop shoot portal in the overworld where you kill them* Get a iron golem in front of the portal. Connect a bridge from the iron golem to the portal dropshoot WITH the Iron Golem fenced in farther back. Then place trapdoors in front of the portal so the pillagers walk right off. The road is connected so the pillagers think they can walk to the golem but they can't. Replace the whole front dropshoot with walls of some sort. The walls replacing the front glass of the shoot is so that there is room for the pillagers to fall thru since its a bit wider than using blocks.

Great farm ! why do the pillagers come out of the higher portal once they come back from the Nether rather than the lower one when they are at the same X and Z coords ? Does the game always send entities back on the highest Y Coord if it find a portal ?

Just build this Farm took me several hours of terra forming and Gathering resources just to realize I'm in version 1.19 and it doesn't work for this version. I found a fix though in the nether Build the portal(s) up at level 175 and fixes it...

when the pillagers come back from the nether they come back from the other portal but when they go to the overworld they go to the same portal where they were before anyone knows what could be causing this?

Did you build this below the bedrock roof? This should be built on top of the bedrock, so the Y level is closer to the killing chamber Portal, making it linked to it.

I'm a single player, so I don't have someone that can hang out in the nether. Can we put an iron golem on the other side of the nether portal (in the nether) to get them to cross into the portal? I tried blocking the portal from the other side and that didn't work.

Hey i found a way to farm amethyst crystals ,, it's full automatic but there is one mejor issue,,it's super slow ,,the thing is if you plan a melon next to the amethyst it will grow up with the melon ,and every time the Cristal gross full it will harvest it ,but the time of melon growing and amethyst crystals growing is different so sometimes if the melon grows the amethyst crystals which will be grow like a half size ,it will break

this farm is alot cheaper as of 1.21 since you no longer get bad omen from killing flag holders you just get the potions, just replace the nether portals with trapdoors that drop down to campfires nd setup hopper chest on all 4 sides and your done. super easy super cheap way better for hardcore players looking to build a early outpost farm

Pillagers will not pathfind over magma blocks. So the only path they see to the iron golems is via the trap-doors.

Hey! At the very bottom you have 4 portals, but in the nether moved only 1 portal. How does that work?

i think if the coords of the overworld portals are not very far from each other then they'll all go to that 1 moved portal and consider it the same rather than the system making 4 portals

@@firedave55 I had this issue. I built it on my survival sever and a friend went to the place where they are in nether and it worked perfectly fine. For some reason someone needs to be next to them in nether for them to teleport back to the overworld. So for now it seems to be broken with one player. So I will just wait for a fixed version or find another tutorial. Unless you’re playing on a server.

Hi, I have an issue with the pillagers. They are not even spawning in any of the Outposts I found. I looked in the Internet for a solution, but I didn't found anything. What can I do for Pillagers to spawn? Edit: I'm using OptiFine btw, I don't know if that's an issue.. Edit 2: I discovered the issue on my problem. It was the version on my Forge. I looked up in the Internet about the problem, and I found that the versions 1.18-38.0.17 of Forge and 1.18.1-39.0.7 and below are bugged and Pillagers will not spawn near the Pillager Outpost in forge 1.18 and forge 1.18.1.. I went to forge 1.18.2 and the problem was solved c:
