Always a treat Chapman for your videos to come up. You can now path block a regular dirt block so you dont need specifically grass blocks to make the path blocks suggested for the bottom :).

If you use the slabs at the bottom, you can also add trapdoors under the blocks in front of them to reduce the size of the gap.

Just built this in my hardcore world. Followed your build to a T in the parts that matter. Used path blocks. Diamond sword with Sharp 4, Sweeping Edge 3, and Fire Aspect 2 and it worked like a charm on a level 1 raid. Got 5 totems now. Beautiful. Thank you so much. Been watching all your guides and just started your hardcore series. Really great content all around!

@@xicujoix5238 I haven't played in a long time, sadly. It definitely worked back when I posted though. Like a charm. Was 1.18, but forget exactly what patch number. Make sure if you do it, use the path blocks and use a strong sword like suggested. Don't skimp out or you might regret it.

I have sharpness V and looting 3. I used slabs and had no problem. I just wanted some totems real fast. I built this in 20 minutes. and had 5 totems and 50 emeralds and 6 saddles in 10 min. GREAT VIDEO Chapman.

IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THE VILLAGER HAS A JOB SITE BLOCK (composter, lectern, etc.) OR THE RAID WILL NEVER START

Actually, now you don't need silk touch for the dirt paths (you can just right click your shovel on dirt blocks instead of grass blocks)

one possible addition that I've used in my raid farms is an etho clock powering a bell, if you set the time right, this keeps applying the glowing affect (like spectral arrow) to raiders within range, allowing you to see them through the solid blocks above you

Great design! Farm definitely works and well. I built this in hardcore. Flat area is highly recommended. I built too near a pillager outpost. Pillagers do get counted in raid counts, which can lead to "never ending raid waves". Biggest challenges were filling in some underground caves. Use a bell to find, kill, and fill. Also, needed to fill in several large ponds. At this point, I've successfully completed raids twice, and netted 15 or so totems. Depending on your location, you may need similar fine tuning.

Thanks! I built a MUCH more complex raid farm at a pillager outpost and it did not work. This comically simple one worked like a charm. Now I just use the outpost farm to get Bad Omen and then go to this one to get the raid.

You can just give yourself @effect @S bad_omen and it gives it you for 30 seconds as long as your near villagers you'll start a raid

Isn't now dirt block can also be turned into path block , not just grass block. If that is possible silk touch is not needed.

I combined this with an iron golem farm down below, with a zombie driving in circles around 5 villagers with beds when a lever is on. So while i raid farm and get hero buff i get items from villagers and iron from golems too :D Very nice and easy raid farm tyvm

At the pillager outpost i found out to leave the bottom floor intact and make 4 big portals inside it then some fences 2 blocks high and the pillagers start zerging it and shooting with iron golems inside, then just burrow outside and add slabs 7 blocks from portal then alot of water. Now go through portal dig down 27 blocks and the udual hoppers+chests. Easy way to get the bad omen 4

After some playing around, it looks like you can build this in an ocean if you have trouble finding flat land. You only need a small platform (not 64 blocks all around, more like 5-10)

I built a 48 by 48 platform over an ocean the raid starts with eh farm and everything but the first time the raid bar fills initiating the raid it pauses for a second then disappears

I’m in bedrock. Hard mode to get all the illagers to spawn ( 7 waves ) I have a flat area far enough away from an outpost but when I trigger the raid the mobs won’t track to the water to fall in the trap. Any suggestions?

If you don’t have silk touch you could also use place water behind the dirt that would be path blocks and instead turn it into farmland

Wait but does this mean we have to keep obtaining bad omen? It looks like after you get hero of the village the raid wont restart only unless u kill an illager captain right? (Or do illager captains also appear in raids and so every time a raid ends you still have bad omen and can restart the raid and basically keep this going forever?)

It seems like a great farm, but I have one big problem. The raid group just stays in a single location. They all spawn on the surface which is mainly flat (except one block jumps.) None of them are below ground or stuck, they just stand there. The witches heal the others while they stand there. None of them take damage, I have to manually fight them on the surface because they won't come down. Any solutions? Other than that, it is a great farm and very simple.

yea, it worked kinda fine even if i am pretty dumb and i built the farm next to a village so all the viligers died and i had to lure the mobs and tried to make them fall into the actual farm, it was complicated but i had fun, unfortunetly i only had bad omen 4, and after i won the raid i realised that i should have go for bad omen 5 so i ll get better trades. well whatever every mistake makes u learn something so its fine, ty once again and sorry for my kinda bad enghlish...

I have built this farm in 1.18.1. I checked your design and I would like to say I am getting pillagers inside my room. In the killing chamber. I have a stair case up to the surface. Could it be the stair case that is allowing the pillagers in? Although I was sure on jumped out of the tunnel.ie the vertical falling tunnel. I love the ease of your build/design. Has something changed in the mechanics of pillagers?

Works except the moment I hit an Evokers they instantly spawn VEX, even with the one hit kill. So I tried by standing back as far as possible but it keeps happening. It's on a "hardcore" smp so I get sent back to spawn with nothing and the VEX's hit hard so kill me with two hits. Luckily it is only 6000 blocks from my base but need to be able to kill without the vex's spawning. Maybe I need a different kill chamber, other then that the raids all fall in the chute without any getting stuck anywhere, so that part works perfectly. Edit: Well I figured it out, i think, i'm not one shot killing them so they are releasing the vexes. This is a new world for me and this is my first build on it so don't even have a diamond sword. I'm going to get a diamond one and enchants and see if that fixes my problem.

If it doesn't work you can make it automatic by adding lava that will reduce the rates but wil be sufficient for starter

It didn't work for me. Did everything you said to do, and the raid starts fine, they all come to where the villager is, but they just wonder around the water, and never go in. 😞 is it not big enough? 🤷‍♀️
