Im wondering if natural, bio, ORGANIC iodine supplements extracted from plants is also good??? Or only potassium iodine? If only potassium iodine, then why??? What's so magic about it???? Someone explain...

It is a simple salt. The source does not matter, as long as it is free of impurities. You don't want to eat pure Iodine. I say this as a chemist and I love organic food.

No, I don't think so because the dosage will not be high enough and will only be like regular supplement strength. You need to get the correct full dose of either Potassium Iodide (130mg) or Potassium Iodate (170mg) to protect you from radiation in the thyroid and to take it every 24 hours. Other sources of iodine will likely not be sufficient. Potassium Iodine and Potassium Iodate should only be used in an emergency situation though and they do have side effects. Some people could be allergic to them.
