It is nice to see good mood on board, captain :-) I like it too. Flying and smiling is so nice. And also my congrats to your editing skills - and no disturbing music added.

Excellent vid. Reminded me of the first time I took my Girlfriend up in a C42 - although your wife was altogether a lot less nervous, I'll never forget the grin I saw when I looked right, 5 minutes after takeoff :)

Have you taken her up on a non-thermic day? I've been lucky to have calm air each time I took my GF flying - your wife took the turbulence like a pro.

cjm2005 no, we think it's been a bit turbulent every time she's been up with me. Maybe this spring we'll manage a smooth day.

Very nice video, which unfortunately was spoilt by at least 7 advert interruptions, courtesy of KZbin! I'm a little concerned at this "land or depart at your discretion" business. Does Barton not have a Tower? Who are you talking to? Personally, I could never see myself taking such an instruction. It's eaither clear to land or clear takeoff or not at all! That's like the American "see and avoid" system. Seems a lot has changed in the UK since I did flying lessons. Anyway, great video. Lizzy has a real classic sense of humour which made me smile while I recover from side effects of my second Covid jab. It's been a crap 48 hours for me! Take care - Lee
@RoryOnAir3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and welcome! Barton does have a tower but its an information service so they control you on the ground but not in the air. That's why they give you information and tell you to decide if you're going to land or not based on the info they give.
