A larger 2 seat SRV introduced after Multicrew would be amazing.

I hereby officially vote for a new size range for settlements. From "Tiny" to "That's no moon!"

+Julopabene Bananenplantage Not within the range of technology maybe? How about for thargoids only, that would cool. To jump into a system and see a giant alien object...

Ok so missions that require to infiltrate and access private data that are in +++ [High Security] needs to be marked as recommended wing mission lol. I tried and it was horrible. You get ton of skimmer guardians that shoot missles at you, even more regular skimmer sentry, and two goliaths at your tail. Sometimes a viper mk3 ship of that faction tailing you. I succeded doing solo but by trying to sneak in hiding and using kite technique to get away from the robots. Also fly over the walls that they got baricaded outside. Lastly i succeded my mission and ended up blowing up in with the srv after that I got teleported inside the ship and flew off.

You should really do this from the viewpoint of the pilot's federation. "Thank you for purchasing a planetary landings permit", "We do not endorse hostilities against settlements", etc.

It's worth pointing out to people who are watching this hoping to figure out how to use the "Data Link Scanner" that there is currently a bug where the data link scanner doesn't work unless you have "Firing deploys hardpoints" toggled to "On" in your controls configuration.

+Dan Quinn RIght? This is a fix that should take seconds. How did it make it out of Beta, it was found in there and reported. MONTHS ago. Pathetic.

where about is it? under what section please
@The-Nil-By-Mouth7 жыл бұрын
Presumably this bug has long been fixed as you don't need to enable the option, but FYI it's under Options->Controls->Weapons

I found it about 10mins after I commented after flicking through the controls about 10 times, wish they had a "search" function. My problem was I had been back and fourth that many times it was enabled I just didn't enter the turret to do the actual scan...making a lot of money last night off these scans...thanks anyway dude

There should be different SRV types one can buy - “Warthog” stocky and dumpy, good for collecting materials. “Greyhound” sleek and fast for rapid infiltration raids, but low shields and hull. “Wolverine” quick, hard hitting, and tough. “Mule” can carry more than 2 tons of canisters Etc.. And should be able to modularise them, too - better weapons, shields, hull reinforcement, etc.

what if u cant find the last data link is ther a scanner that can pin point it out and the one above the mini map hologram does not count

Do you buy the data for settlement locations from? is it from the galaxy map like trade data?
@reflekshun9 жыл бұрын
+DK988 you can, but you can also just scan the planet normally and they'll show up :)

So, why would you be attacking those settlements? whose settlements are they? What are data points?? I'm so confused
@360Fov4 жыл бұрын
It's so random and stupid. I have no idea what or why I'm doing... nobody is occupying these settlements but we're supposed to commit these data attacks....and it doesnt even work. It generates buildings with data points too high to be accessed.

Awesome expansion, but nowhere near worth the $60 it costs.
@Pecisk9 жыл бұрын
+devwreck127 it is first expansion for 60 USD. It will include lot of other updates.
@AceStrife9 жыл бұрын
+George Pearson In other words, it's a yearly subscription to get content updates, because Frontier can't sell the base game for $300+ or have anyone pay a monthly subscription fee for it. Meanwhile, Star Citizen costs $30, once, and you get alpha access along with the single player campaign game Squadron 42.
@reflekshun9 жыл бұрын
+devwreck127 It's $45 for the expansion, $60 with base game. $45 / year is cheap for that much new content per year on an mmo.
@reflekshun9 жыл бұрын
+Ace Strife SC is $30 for a game that comes out in 2 years and you are unsure of it's future. There will be paid expansions for SC Squadron 42 as well. You are disillusioned with how the pay model of Elite turned out, yet 100% hopeful of how SC pay model will turn out perhaps without considering reality. You're saying one hand that Elite is too expensive for a regular once off game, and won't sell enough with a monthly subscription. Looks like Frontier found the sweet spot for this unique style of game then :) I'm happy paying $60 for the entire milky way and landing on 60% of planets, today. Not in two years, maybe. Good luck!
@AceStrife9 жыл бұрын
reflekshun SC is $30 for a complete MMO-like universe (also seamless travel, unlike E:D instancing/hyperdrive) with far, far more realism than E:D has. You're also a damn person from the start instead of a camera sitting in a cockpit all the time looking at menus. You also get a single player campaign for that $30 too, which they could've just charged as a separate thing entirely. Yes, it has episodes, but each of those episodes will be the length of a normal single player game like the old Wing Commander series. The price for the episodes after the first is still up in the air. SC already has more things to do than E:D. In 2 years, SC will have far more content than E:D could ever hope to develop in 5, judging by this Horizon's expansion. If you're fine with paying an arm and a leg for small content updates which other games have in the base game at release, then fine. But I'm not, and a hellova lot of other people aren't either. E:D is still a beta in many people's eyes. A beta that we're paying for because they needed more money. Note: I just bought into SC 2 days ago; I've owned E:D since December of last year. If anything, I'd be biased towards E:D.

I cannot begin to put into words how terrible these are.... it's putting me off playing the game. I'm out of reach of these nonsensical things so I have to try and make my SRV hover but it falls to the ground before the scan is complete, and it's constantly getting stuck in the environment or flipping all over the place. I don't understand the logic behind these at all, it's nonsense.
