A lightning strike on an aircraft is not dangerous, as aircraft are designed to withstand lightning strikes. For an airline the size of cebu pacific A319-100, lightning typically strikes planes dozens of times a year. Edit: for people wondering “how do airplanes survive” I’ll try to explain. Lightning usually strikes an aircraft on the front side of the plane's cockpit. The edge of the cockpit window is a typical point of impact. The aluminium fuselage of the aircraft conducts electricity well, and due to that, the lightning discharge does not affect the inside of the aircraft. The discharge travels onwards along the outer surface of the aircraft and exits again into the atmosphere, typically from the tips of the wing, control surfaces or the tail of the aircraft. So don’t worry you’re safe and in good hands. Enjoy your flight

Thank you po for vlogging. I have a traumatic experience in 2018 nung yung eroplanong sinakyan namin, biglang nag stop yung right wing and nagkasunog sa likuran.. Since then, nagka trauma and fear na ako in flying.. It's good to see this part sa pilot, iba kasi talaga sa passenger, lalo na't hindi mo alam nangyayari. God bless po.
