No no no....his dream was for equality, the new ANC (after he passed away), is very different. SAA now employs only one race group and openly refuses to employ in any other way. The facts speak for themselves. The Airline is rife with corruption and racial discrimination.

What is the reason for featuring a ceiling shot looking downward on the instruments and the pavement rather than looking directly forward during take off? It seems to be a protocol for Just Planes videos, but it prevents the viewer from actually seeing the plane lift off the runway, which is always an enjoyable part of this type of videos. Since everything else is so well-presented, it suggests that they're purposely catering to viewers who are more interested in the instruments. Is that the case?

I was lucky enough to fly a few A340-600 flights with Virgin before they retired them. It was far and away the best plane I’ve ever flown on, and she is so beautiful externally . Having walked thru the cabin, it seems to go on forever.

Amazing aircraft, but sadly, it has become very outdated and costly very quickly. The A340 was created when having 4 engines was the requirement to cross the ocean and when fuel was cheap. Then, suddenly, ETOPS rule came out, fuel became expensive, and powerful engines were invented. This meant that when the A350 and 787 began to operate around 7-8 years ago, airlines replaced the A340 with these more modern fuel efficient aircraft.

I flew the SAA 340-600 from Jo’Berg to Washington Dulles and it was the most beautiful experience. The -600 is one of my favorite airliners! So sad to see them going, and so sad to see SAA in its current state of minimal existence.
