[4K] Lufthansa Airbus A340-642 - Full Flight From Munich to New York-JFK

Welcome aboard Lufthansa flight 410, with non-stop service from Munich Franz Joseph Strauss International Airport to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport! Today we will be flying on one of the last Airbus A340-600s still in service.
Even before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Airbus A340 family was quickly shrinking with every tick of the clock. While most airlines that operated the Airbus A340 completely retired them as a result of COVID, Lufthansa recently decided to reactivate all of their Airbus A340-600s. Wanting to fly on an Airbus A340-600 before they became a thing of the past, I decided to book this flight on the return leg of my Spring Break trip.
In my opinion, while I enjoyed the flight and scenic views on it, the hard product is certainly deserving of an upgrade. Lufthansa's long-haul business class is certainly lagging behind virtually all of its competitors and I would only suggest flying them if your goal is to fly on a certain aircraft type with an impending future retirement.

when are Lufthansa stopping flying the a340-600 the end of 2023 or is it summer 2024?

LH410 will continue to fly the A340 until July 4th, after that it will be replaced by the A380. Thats my latest info.

The A340-600 is Set to fly at least until summer 2024, maye until 2025. At the Moment 9 are Flying for the summer on MUC to Jfk until july 3rd, CLT starting July 4, and also daily to EWR, ORD and IAD and also FRA to JFK, BOG and HKG. Summer 2024 all may go to FRA as LH is suppiosed to get 9 new A350-900 with FClass for MUC until then. BR Rainer from Munich.

Correcr MUC to JFK goes to A380 July 4. From July 4 to Oct. 26 A346 out of MUC operate to: CLT, ORD afternoon flight LH434, EWR and IAD. BR Rainer
