Wow...what a great cockpit video, very well produced with great views, one of the best I have ever seen. Very smooth flying, these guys make it look so easy and routine. I like how these guys are "old school" with all the paper charts, with the captain explaining the approach at the beginning. As an FSX pilot, I always struggle with the Canarsie approach to 13L and visual hand flying the sweeping right turn onto final at the end of the runway.

That was a great video! Nicely done! 757 is the best looking passenger jet imo! Before the airlines retire them, I hope to ride in one especially the one with the RR RB-211 engines.

Henry S. I also want to fly in a 757-200 or 300. I have never been in one before. I quite like the lanky look of the 757 model and the fact that they take off fast at a very high degree angle of speed
@jonweinraub4 жыл бұрын
The take off roll on a B757 is incredible. Probably like a rocket ship. It was only a half hour flight, as the airline cancelled two ATRs so they merged them both to a 757 instead. Pretty neat airplane.

Jersey Shore Sea Bright and Sandy Hook 6:40 to 7:00. I wish there were lights on the pilot's feet when touching down. I want to see how much rudder controller is needed to keep in the centerline. Very good PIC reference.

The narrative in the beginning is important to us non-pilots. Thanks for including that!
@justplanes4 жыл бұрын
Very welcome. We just include a little of it because otherwise people tend to leave the video before the approach even starts but on the actual films we include a lot more of the pilot presentations, briefings, checklists etc...

Great video - thank you very much for that. The only thing I would ask for is to keep the focus on the runway in final approach and not change focus to the heads and shoulders of the pilots which alters the angle so that the runway is out of sight until the very last moments before touchdown - missing the most interessing moments of the landing.
@justplanes4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. We do a bit of everything as far as the views go using our 6-8 cameras... everyone wants different angles so we include as much as we can...

Great job! What airline was this and where did you take off from? Was it Iceland Air? If so, you either took off from Keflavik or Reikjavik.
@nikobelic42514 жыл бұрын
Niklas Enblom if it’s a 757 it was Keflavik because Reykjavik’s runway can’t handle the legendary pencil.
@nenblom4 жыл бұрын
Niko Belic Not even with the pencil sharpened? Oh wait, that would be Concorde! 😂😂🤣🤣 Thanks!
@nikobelic42514 жыл бұрын

@wotan109502 жыл бұрын
They actually do, but not often. If the airport isn’t too busy, during the pandemic, Delta and other airlines that park at the south terminals will ask ATC to use 13R for landing. That avoids a very long taxi around the airport.
@IanHorsford4 жыл бұрын
He said Chautauqua🤔this is an old video. Republic new call sign is Brickyard
@wotan109502 жыл бұрын
The video must be several years old because runway 13L has been completely replaced and repaved. It was widened from 150 ft to 200 ft, and the surface is now concrete, not asphalt.
