I watched a lot of Just Planes videos and to me it seems like Air Canada pilots are always the nicest and they take time to explain everything to the Just Planes crew and their viewers. Canadians are such, good, friendly, warm, loving people, maybe that's why they have been chosen by the world as the friendliest nation on Earth. Love you Canada, from your big bad sounthern neighbor(USA).

We do a quick look to make sure all these buttons and switches look like they are in the correct position! I always thought is was about trays and chairs in upright position.

I remember when 701 joined the fleet. I was able to fly on her on one of her first flights from YYZ to YUL. The aircraft fly "locally" for a while to ensure that all is well.

Excellent coverage of the flight planning, flight management systems, using the relief pilot. Interesting this is the first time I’ve heard a pilot inform the PA’s of steps in altitude. For aviation nuts knowing that your airliner must burn X amount of fuel before moving up to a higher stage explains a lot. Thank heavens for the 757 Ariel Sports Car that makes such steps unnecessary, sadly it’s going, going, gone too soon

Another great summary video, as usual. Question... (should probably be directed to the ATP crowd): the Triple 7 can start both engines simultaneously but this does not seem to be standard practice. Just wondering why. It’s rare to see simultaneous engine starts occur at all, at least on video and from personal observation. It seems rare even with other airplanes that can do it like the 747-400/8 (starting 2 at a time, in their case). Is it to reduce loads on the APU and help with maintenance? Or maybe a workload/CRM related reason?

Isn't the Boeing 777-200LR's MTOW lower than The Boeing 777-300ER ??? If so, Why can't Boeing design a ULR version of The Boeing 777-300ER - wouldn't there be more range with (slightly) higher efficiency?

Why is every runway as bumpy as a turnip field. I know its a lot to do with rubber off other planes, but bumpity bumpity bump. Have I answered my own question?
@murvo
@murvo 5 жыл бұрын
I’m just guessing because planes aren’t really meant to drive, it’s just a small part of the process, so I assume even a car would have a more comfortable suspension. They’re supposed to be in the air as much as possible where imperfect bumpy roads don’t matter.

I was on 200LR 4/17/19 to HK, but on my return 4/22/19 was 300ER. Used to be mostly 200LR, but last several year Air Canada mix in or substitute 300ER a lot. I mean when you book your flight and select your seat in LR and it will be 300ER when you get to gate... Just like my return flight on 4/22/19.
