I feel like it's the context of the melody that makes it so good. It's incredibly simple, but put together the way it is here, with the sound design of this song, its percussion, and these melancholy synths? Makes it feel ethereal. Makes it feel far more beautiful.

sometimes this song grants me piercing mental clarity and sometimes its so cerebral I start disassociating. sometimes it provides a comforting warmth and other times it feels like the morning chill. at any point it feels like some sort of emotion inside me that has unknowingly been lost to time is just beginning to resurface. it's difficult to describe how it feels with just words. this track just really fucking beautiful

Even though I've always loved PilotRedSun, I can't help but feel like there is something that is "more" about even this artwork. It always stuck with me that though Ultimate Fuel is a comedic video, that last moment of ambiance had something serious in meaning to it. I feel like this new direction of applying the "error-colored" artstyle to portraying more real scenes has this emergent, uncontrived meaning in focus, exploring it more intentionally rather than by accident. And the music is good too.
