This is hard to say being a Jet guy but The Ultimate 3D is really a fun plane to fly. Sneaked away from work today and flew it at the field for a few hours today.

This has become my favorite plane. I made the mistake of trying 3S first and hit LVC on both maiden flights causing hard landings just bending the landing gear. Went to 4s next time out and never looked back. OMG what a fun flyer!!!

I like that they used the AR637 and SMART ESC. I may just end up getting a SMART 4s 2200 for mine to try it out🙂

4S monster for sure. I wish they make one the same size as the FMS Pitts v2 1400mm and I'm sold. Too much wind in my area, I have the Pitts 850mm and doesnt get alot of love due to the winds.

Was givin one of these at the Bigfoot fly in in Alabama. Awesome airplane but for me I run a 3300. 4s shoved all the way under the wing. Book said 90 mm from leading edge of top wing. Is cg and it balanced perfect in this configuration when I had the 2200 where the tray is it was nose heavy for me. This thing is awesome

cool plane, e flite need longer flight times on their planes, 3 to 4 mins don't cut it for me, my e flite 300 extra 1.3m 3-d same way on 4s packs 4 mins times maxed, i'm just getting started at that time 5 to 7 mins flights are great come on HH, btw this is nice looking bird ryan. more flight time, less time changing batteries

Good video, just wondering why you decided to tape the right stab and remove the left side one for the spar change? Wouldn’t it be easier to do it the other way so you don’t have to fiddle with the servo?

I’d would be easier to do it the other way but I wanted the security of knowing my side with no tape was at least being held on by something. Also it’s just for video. I’ll tape it now and leave it set up for 4s

missiletm I put the tape on the side that had nothing else to hold it in. Less risky than the other way. They’re not free when you have to spend time to deliver on the project. I spend a good deal of time to capture edit and distribute the content. If I crash it I buy one so I can do the job.

If you wanna do real 3D don't get this plane, heavy wing loading. Good for aerobatics and little bit of 3D. Maybe a pro could do it but for average flyers this plane is just not light enough. Lots of wing rock in harriers and will tip stall easy and damages LG very easy.
