AS SOMEONE WHO GREW UP WHEN WOMEN worked in offices, factories or homes, in stuffy Endland. it is heartening to see they are aircraft captains.

I remember one flight, the last leg from Maui to Norfolk by way of Calif and Atlanta. I was flying with 2 sons in diapers ( but they walk and talk and are everywhere). When we took off from ATL at dawn heading for Virginia...the pilots ( against all regulations) left the cockpit door open so my son's and myself could witness the magnificent sunrise. That was in the 80's. I'll always be grateful. 70 in Hawaii 🌴🌺

In my life of flying I have always met the pilot and co-pilot. I would have relished the opportunity to just shoot the breeze with the Captain while waiting. Outstanding, brilliant. Reminds me of the old days when flying was a bonding experience. 70 in Hawaii 🌴🌺

Never been on a flight in my life. But I find it appealing that Easy Jet crews look like actual people and are not being forced to become AI created 'doll characters' who's bodies are basically owned by their employer bc of 'quality standards'.

I know some may give grief for me mentioning but the Captain would not go back to a passenger like that unless absolutely necessary and that can usually fall on the First Officer. A male flight attendant was standing there while the Captain took care of a fainting passenger. She has more important things to do to get this flight airborne. The flight attendants job is to deal with the passenger and then inform the Captain. I was surprised that people were aloud up in the cockpit who are not authorized personnel and no longer allowed. Maybe a company thing but it is because of 9/11 and safety concerns.

I would never fly on this airline. I want pilots with military experience. Not a bunch of kids.
@DreamsSketcher9 ай бұрын
They do look very young indeed. The First Officer is 20! I have heard in the last 20 years that we’ve lost a lot of pilots who retired out who actually have military experience, which has helped them during emergencies. A lot of newer pilots were very dependent on the auto pilot and they’re trying to get away from that now. But no military experience. They just didn’t know what to do when things went wrong, in unanticipated ways. I remember one pilot in a famous case had to fly the plane without engines and it was his glider aircraft experience in his younger days that helped him carry off quite a flying feat with a passenger jet.
