On the very first field strip my front lower handgaurd won’t release and the sight adjustment is so stiff I have to use pliers to turn it.the figment is low grade and I believe overpriced

I installed the zhukov handguard thanks for the video. I will probably make some block instead on using washers but it works for now. I did like you and drilled a hole to fit the original handguard bolt. But it got me thinking how it could impact accuracy comparing to using the 2 barrel clamp. " keeping the barrel parallel to the trunion by using the bolt vs letting the barrel free to move like the handguard was intended to be fitted " What are your thoughts?

Handguard for sure. The stock had to redone and made non adjustable (no washers added) then it was solid.

you're indeed correct and the reason why it wont work with the folder is bcos its attached to the rear trunnion which cant be removed. only the magpul zhukov "s" stock works with the fixed, not the zhukov yugo stock. the yugo works with the vz58 with an adapter.

Basically can I order Type-81 furniture and have it fit LMG or do I need specific LMG spec 'd gear ? Im in Canada for a few months and just ordered a new LMG and want to give it a bit of modernizing. Almost bought BCL's Siberian 5.56/223 but seen a few things I didn't like .Thanks .

Regular lower HG do not fit LMG but the gen 2 sigmacocanada quad rails do. I fits reg rifles and LMG.

probably no cos plastic HG are not the best for mounting optics. aluminum is much better, see my other ak HG mounts vids.

It's a grip from Czech Republic, any grip for VZ58 will do. One minute filing to the back is needed.

thanks for subscribing but unfortunately i dont see the lack of accessories improving any time soon. due to our political climate its too risky for vendors to design and manufacture. our best bet is mod and hack, converting our useless VZ58 accessories to fit the T81.

Got my heat shield for the rail modded and repainted aswell as the copper upper heat shield finished a painted. Only thing im waiting on is that m6 metric bolt which is coming from china. I gotta say the copper pipe mod was alot harder than it seemed in your video. Im not good with this kind of stuff but managed to complete it. Currently im trying to figure out the best way to mount a pic rail on top of the copper pipe heat shield to mount my eotech from my AR

Wish I saw your video about the folding stock not being able to be removed before I bought the stock. Luckily I got it off aliexpress so it wasn't expensive. With the way the folder still has the mount at the back I think I can do something to make it work.

I’m actually working on doing this handguard on my lmg 81 the barrel is much thicker but it is possible just a lot more fabrication to get to fit you have to modify the barrel bands with a round coping file and file little Recess in barrel to get bolts to clear barrel when bolting bands together

Did you ever install that K Grip on a Type 81? I have one and I'm trying to decide whether I want to fit the grip inside that sheet metal plat or just cut the sheet metal plate right off.

AK grips are not compatible, it looks like crap when mod without cut the grip plate. i wont cut the plate, i have done it before on CZ858 and regretted it. best to use VZ58 grips which require one minute filing.
