I'd say the problem isn't as much the limit being 20 minutes but the timer counting time spent on picking a move and all animations. They should make a choice either "stopping" the timer during the part where you pick a move or at least extend to half an hour. It's a decent time for only one match As for Versus Recorder, I can't help but think they did that to prevent people from uploading their matches online. If that's the case, it's super stupid but I wouldn't rule out that possibility

Body Press only uses the Defense stat for damage calculation. Technically Burn halves your physical damage, although it's usually just stated as your Attack stat.

You should be using Protect every other turn for those Moody boosts on Octillery 😫

If you do the opponent can take advantage of it like with the Klefki if he had protected every other turn it would have been able to set up more spikes also since the boosts are random you could have a stat dropped that you wouldn’t want to be dropped so you never know.Also since the battle can only be 20 minutes it’s best to keep it as short as possible.

Novapanther 20 Wasn’t much risk in protecting against the Bronzong, though. And after he killed the Klefki. It’s likely that he would have done better with the Octillery meaning he wouldn’t have to rely on the Miltank which is the only reason he lost from time.

Putting Final Gambit on Lucario when you aren't doing a full stat based pokemon moves team is a waste of an ultimate pokemon.

Technically final Gambit is a stat base move since it uses the pokemon's HP of what it has left to damage the opponent. Plus is not a waste on Lucario as that move can be useful depending on the situation
