It kills me that I'll never see Lana like this. Singing her heart out under the dim lights in some dive bar. Real soul, no screaming fans, just her and the music.

As I watch these old Lizzy Grant videos in succession (thanks YT sidebar), this kind of sadness fills me. All her older songs were really great, but have this air of loneliness, sometimes so strongly that I want to hug her (like Pawn Shop Blues). Now she's come out with Lust For Life, with the turn of a leaf and a "hope" for "change." I think she's really come a long, long way, both musically, and I would guess internally.

I always come back to this, this song is so difficult to listen to, I'm proud to be able to say that I coexist with Lana because I really don't know what I would do without her music, she expresses so many feelings, emotions through lyrics and beautiful melodies, it's so sad when you hear the pain in her voice and you can understand it.
