As soon as I get a bottle of this ,I pour it in a glass bottle and leave the lid loose for a few days to help get that plasticity note out of it and I add a wee bit of witch hazel to it after the venting and it all is much better after that conditioning I put it through... AQUA Di GIO is great to layer over this ,day or night, it is super ..

A splash of Clubman after a wet shave will always remind you that first and foremost you are a gentleman. Moreover, it soothes the skin and the ladies seem to like it. What more can you ask for a dollar an ounce?

Thanks for talking the time to actually describe this product. I’ve watched a number of video reviews on the Clubman but none of them have gone beyond simply stating that this is a ‘classic barbershop scent’ without describing the notes, or anything else about the product. Based on your review I think I might give it a go.

i love fragrances and have a decent collection going on ranging from deeply masculine to sweet.....this stuff.....is the epitome of a gentleman fresh from a barbershop. yes it reminds me of my dad but it is one of the cleanest, most masculine scents out there. probably not a huge favorite with women because it could be deemed as 'old man' smelling...but I think it is as classic as it gets. the talc is wonderful after a hair cut

Bespoke Unit I have so many soaps and aftershaves. You should review Skin Bracer. It's cheap, smells good and could be found anywhere.

I've heard a lot about Skin Bracer but sadly living in France, it's actually quite hard to find! Our shaving culture is very different with different brands too. I've struggled to get my hands on what are the basics in the USA like Sterling or Soap Commander. Pinaud Clubman itself was very expensive here, which is ironic given that it's originally an affordable French house. Anyway, next time I'm in the USA, I'll be sure to bring a bottle back with me! Pinaud Clubman is a little 'rosey' for mine...it's nice and i use it when I just want a quick splash of something refreshing after a shave. It hangs around for a little which is nice and I have to say it has a leaves a little something nourishing on the skin which makes it feel nice and hydrated. Nothing special but quite fresh and refreshing for not a great deal of money.

Im a wetshaver but I don't like how people say plastic bottle aftershaves are good when they use soap it's honestly no better than canned cream . I know off topic but most after shaves are chemicals but i love them.

No, speak for yourself. 👻 My earliest recollection of Clubman is when my Dad took us boys to get our haircuts. When lived close to an active Air Force base. A traditional men's 💈. Also most men's locker room in health and fitness clubs stock them for members enjoyment. Also, it evokes a professional barber experience, a serious mens traditional experience. Age is not an accurate measure Mr. Bespoke. Otherwise you'll cancel yourself out.

You can actually smell 35 different essences from that little drip ??? Sure ! All you have to say about this is that it smells like "barbershop". These aftershaves were splashed on the back of your neck after a haircut , because the lower part of your hair was finished with a razor. Also talcum was fluffed on with a brush. You came out of the barbershop feeling clean, fresh and smelling like a gentleman. Theyre still used in barbershops. A finer scent by Pinaud is Lilac Vegetal . It has a very classy scent. I have a 1930 issue of Fortune Magazine (which was large, heavy, bound in signatures, like the best books and went for $!.00 an issue or $10 a year). In it is an ad for Pinaud Lilac Vegetal, which, of course, was in glass and probably smelled better, having the original formula .

I prefer Jack Black post shave gel. It's essential ingredients work better for my sensitive skin. Pinaud is nice; I've used it, but there are more effective aftershaves now.

It might smell a bit dated. If you're looking for a more youthful aftershave, consider Proraso or Brut. They're still traditional and a classic but aren't quite as old-fashioned.

Gosh I can't lie I reallllyyyy hate this scent. Last time I smelled it at least. All the worst parts of Brut ramped up into a thick, lotion like, powdery scent. Disgusting. Or just not for me. I hated it so much I was surprised to see people enjoy it to be honest. But hey, y'all have fun :)
