Not weird at all. I got into this band in 1999, and i remember letting this song ride while driving in the everglades. I grew up in miami/melbourne till i was 30 so listening to Pinback on the beach, driving down US1 (being able to see the beach at your side), island hopping with boats, surfing, or getting drunk to them was always a must. Years Around The Sun is like that as well. Your name sounds familiar, did you ever cover any pinback songs?

Hey I know this comment is 4 years old, but I thought you would be glad to hear that there are kids that still do that today. I just graduated, but when I was attending, I would always get high before school and listen to pinback on the bus on the way to school
