Nice and informative as always. I really like that KL shield. I wish I knew about that when I built my machines. Takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for watching and your nice comments as always Nick. Maybe people are afraid of my Lama jokes and don't want to post comments lol 😂

Thanks for the video on how to wire up a solenoid.

Goodmoring and thanks again for this nice video, this information helps me alot connecting everything to the KL-Shield. For me everything is a strugle, because i don't know anything about electricity and wiring. i have to learn a lot, and thats why the simply things for you or others, is a headache for me. thats why i like youre videos, simply wiring from a to b. i don't have a pinbalcab yet, because i wan't to try fist connecting everything on a wooden board like you did, before i buy the cab. So maybe in the future i will have my own build pinbalmachine.

That is a very good plan. Believe it or not that's how I do it. Test it all outside the cab and once you get everything working, once you move it into the cab, if something doesn't work it will most likely be wire related. Watch for more tech videos soon. I'll be covering a few other things. Thanks for watching and glad I was able to help 🙂

If you could provide links on where to buy all needed parts here…. I’m trying to build a 8 solenoid system for my VPin.

Will these solenoids be protected against overheating / burning in case the flipper is being keeped active / pressed for a while?

I have a question, i have 12 volts solenoids. The + from the solenoid, goes to the vcc from the outside of the mosfet board. The - from the solenoid, goes to the out from the outside of the mosfet board. And the 3 volt comes from the kl-shield, and goes to the vcc at the insde from the mosfet board. Where do the solenoids get the 12 volt from, and if needed where do they get it from a 12volt transformator ? And if how do i wire these 12volt wires?
@cleetusvandame3 жыл бұрын
You have to connect the positive and negative wires from your 12v power supply to the bottom two ports on the output side. You can daisy chain to your other mosfet boards if you have more than 1, but only if you're running 12v. Anything 24v needs it's own power supply to the mosfet board you're running the 24v toys from.

@@cleetusvandame Many thanks again. i'm going to try today to connect 2 mosfetboards with 8 solenoids, a 12 volt transformer, the pinscape (KL25Z)with the kl-shield V5.1 and installing the pinscape software. Ofcourse for the software install, i will use youre video: Pinball Tech 101 - DOF / Pinscape software setup. :)

@@rein3751 good luck. If you need anything else, please let me know. Be sure to double and triple check your connections and software configuration.

So I often see the use of diodes…. No need for that in this type of setup? What type of power supply do you use for this? Any links for that?
@cleetusvandame3 жыл бұрын
These boards have build in diodes, there is no need to add more. You can if it gives you peace of mind, but just extra work for no reason. Any 12V / 24V power supply you find on Amazon will work. I'll see if I can link it here. www.amazon.ca/dp/B08DKL2DHJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_MBGKTP5QGGMRH58ZKS6V

@@cleetusvandame The video isn’t very clear…. Can you tell me all I need to setup 8 of these solenoids?
