After I get more basics down, I will try this. Thanks for your efforts to help so many musicians learn how to play and express a passion to play. Have a great day!

Great lesson thanks Geoff - I have been looking at exploring harmonics for ages, and currently use a similar method to how I would on an electric bass on what would be the 5th and octave (ie hovering the left hand finger just above the string at the relevant position), so the pinched option will be a great addition for freeing up the left hand. To expand on the actual range of notes, do you know of a resource that highlights what other 'good' harmonics are where? Birds Landing is a great piece too!!

Great lesson...Thanks Geoff... In one of your videos can you do please the harmonics from Portrait of Tracy? I want to learn the harmonics on my double bass but I can't find them. Thanks :)

Thanks for the suggestion, that's a great piece and I bet it would sound amazing on upright!

I heard the first harmonics played by Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen in his tune Samba Petit..it's super nice intro :)

Hi Geoff, I see some « marks » on your fingerboard (in the high notes string D and G, I think), which notes ? And what for ? Thank You. Your lessons are great.

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the lessons. I often mark the One octave G, harmonic, the D harmonic and the 2 octave G on the G string to help with shifting in thumb position. It can be useful for a tune like this one.

Thank You. What Did You use for the marks ? It’s pretty discreet. I think I’ m going to do the same. It seems indeed useful.

@@j.shoutof Pencil. I've always used that and it's good as you can wipe it off as needed.
