I'm often struck by how quiet those gigantic old steam and gasoline tractors were, compared to even medium-sized 'modern' tractors.. I spent my childhood through my college years on Grandpa's 4010 John Deere - riding and driving - and that big 6-cylinder diesel just blared up at the sky. 14:18 I love mules. I think they have more-individual personalities than horses, and the old-timers knew they were also smarter. It was apparently common knowledge that you couldn't hitch a horse and a mule to an implement together, because the mule would figure out how to manipulate the position of the harness to put all the work on the horse.

The thing about the mules 😂 not too surprising 👍 also, I heard they can see where they are stepping. That's why they are used in the Grand Canyon.
