Historic Farm Days in Penfield Illinois. This Illinois Tractor show is put on by the I&I antique tractors & gas engine club. This is a fun farm show with a cool parade of tractors a some hit and miss engines running and I even walk around the museum too.
Daily Attractions Include:
Corn shelling, Sawmill, I&I Train, Threshing, Potato Digging, Blacksmith Shop, Field Demonstrations, Tractor Pull Reunion, Museum, One Room Schoolhouse, Log Cabin, IH Parts Counter, Chicago Pneumatic Engine, Trading Post, Old Methodist Church, Household Room, Food and Parts Vendors. The unusual little tractor at the beginning - the one with the 'one-lung' engine (as Grandpa used to call them) is something I have heard of but never seen until now. Grandpa told me that, when he was in Japan during the Occupation, he saw many trucks that had been converted to run on those small-but-dependable powerplants when modern engines were scarce.

Yep 👍 not many COE. It's been pretty crazy going to these shows. Last weekend nobody recognized me. I did get some looks. 🤪 This weekend it was like I was famous 🤣 I got some double takes and got to meet some interesting people. It's weird 🤪 but cool 😎

I swear I saw the same guys from the ones we saw in Iowa. These kids drive tractors before they drive cars. I bet some of those working those saws are missing some fingers. One of these times you are going to buy one of these tractors just to be in the show.
