I’m a piney, and the Pinelands is a place to be respected. It’s one of the last (and largest) spread of the Atlantic coastal coniferous forest ecoregion, so it’s easy to get lost in the endless spread of flat, sandy pine forest. Don’t litter, don’t follow any whistling or high-pitched screeches, leave before sunset, and be SAFE.

I'm actually from the Ocean County Pine Barrens, so this was a real pleasant surprise! Seeing the exact area I grew up represented in analog horror is a treat, tho it is kind of surprising that it hasn't been done before. The Pine Barrens really are one of the creepiest places to be at night, it makes it perfect for a horror setting. Looking forward to seeing where this goes!

Is painting random squares on trees something that actually happens? I'm not exactly a hiker, but it's something I've never heard of.
@SuperFlashDriver Жыл бұрын
@@258thHiGuy It does help, considering signs and other things planted into the ground can get knocked over or go missing/even stolen. So marking stuff on trees where it can stay there for eons is a much better way to engrave the markings and last longer than if you got a paper sign that blew away by the harsh winds and such.
@JFrancisFright Жыл бұрын
@@258thHiGuy It's definitely a real thing, it's just not random. They're used as trail markers which are pretty handy if you know how to read them, plus they don't blow away or damage the trees or anything.

So the rules are: go off the trail whenever you see a cool tree or something, only bring the gatorade you've been working on during the drive over, know the forest's a coward who won't do shit, and stay inside as long as you'd like? Do I got that right?

Saw Emmortalmarcus did a video about this series, saw the first 30 seconds and then stopped to come see it in full fot myself. Instantly, I think you've 100% NAILED the look of genuine analog quality, the music is spot on, and that synthesizer for the more ominous parts? *Chef's Kiss* Succulent. The found footage example here actually balances nicely between the shakiness of how a person would actually run with a camera, while using the light to watch their footing, and just enough so we can clearly see the progress and direction, without a sense of motion sickness. I have criticisms, but I want to see the rest of what's out before making them. But good stuff so far. (And I'll say it; this is a hell of a lot more compelling already than The Mandela Catalogue. I'm still not sure why that series gets credit it does for its quality.) Regardless, new subscriber, looking forward to the rest. Also, c'mon, I fuckin' LOVE the Jersey Devil. How can I not give a series a try that has connection with it?

I really want someone to make an analog horror story based in Bulgaria. It has so many places to hide *bodies* ! The Lakes, the unsuspected forests and so many more places!
