I actually love pine flooring! Rustic, beat up and distressed is always the look I prefer in my own home. My last house in southern MD had all yellow pine 3” planks. Built in the 50s but it was all face nailed.

Isn't pine a softwood?

It is. My dad put it in the house I grew up in. I think he got a deal on it and installed it himself. With 6 kids and 2 Dobermans the floor was a little “distressed” but so was everything else in the house. It had a more rustic appearance but I my family was fine with it.
